Re: Goodbye Posts

Was lurking for more than a decade before I joined in April 2015. Weird how time flies.

Imagine going back to 2003 or so and telling people Shenmue III would be coming out for the PlayStation 4 and PC (on a platform called "Steam") in 2019...

Re: New Info + Details of S1&2 from Adam Koralik (7th July)

I wonder what the substitute for Sapporo drinks will be? Maybe just replaced with Jet Cola machines?

Re: New Info + Details of S1&2 from Adam Koralik (7th July)

Good to hear about fast loading times on base PS4/XB1; I was worried about lack of space on my PC SSD for both these remasters AND Shenmue III, but if the load times for the remasters are that fast I can just install them on my hard drive and then install III on the SSD when it comes out. I'll likel...

Re: Adam Koralik explains the re-releases (4:3, audio etc)

Curious as to why the file size is so big for the 2 games (30GB). Even with some of the assets being available in HD and dual audio, I'd still only expect it to be max. 15GB? Where did you get the file size? It's the minimum requirement on Steam. That said, the minimum requirement is often a little...

Re: Release Date Possibly Leaked by Xbox Australia ?

What's weird is when you scroll down it says

Release date
21/08/2018

Approximate size
201.68 MB

That approximate size seems a little off :P

Re: New Shenmue HD footage from PC GAMER show

Looks like they have character shadows working in Shenmue II; wondering if they'll have the stencil shadows from the Xbox version as they said this port is based on that version?

Re: Yakuza series

Thanks for the help, guys, I was gonna buy a base PS4 from my manager but I'll wait until all the games come out and see if they do a bundle with a Pro (will also want a Pro for The Last Guardian as I hear that runs like crap on a base PS4).

Re: Yakuza series

Will definitely get a PS4 now that the entire (mainline) series is coming to that console (and it doesn't look like it'll come to PC any time soon). Is it worth getting a Pro if I mainly plan to just play Yakuza on a 1080p TV? I'll wait until the series is all out to see if they do a cool bundle but...

Re: Shenmue 3 - All Known Staff Members

I don't think it's really clear how many people from Neilo are working on Shenmue III. From Tak Hirai and the company's Twitter it seems they are involved involved in a bunch of other projects like smartphone games.

Re: No Backer Demo -- Hypothetical

We can still get the demo. If I had to bet I would say it will be the first hour of the game and then it allows you to carry the save into the main game. Just don't make the same mistake as Sega did with Yakuza 6 and give the full game away accidentally :P It'd be nice if we got a demo/trial versio...

Re: New Shenmue 3 images from THQ Nordic financial presentat

I think if this game had had a traditional development cycle (i.e. no Kickstarter, early updates etc.), the first we would have likely seen of it is something similar to the video from that THQ Nordic presentation, a year or so from release, and people would have been less harsh on the game than the...

Re: Shenmue HD in magazines

In terms of innovation, I'm most excited for Rapport System, Character Perspective System, and the Three Kingdoms wargames of Baisha.
