Awesome, he's got it in Japanese also for anyone that wants to try their skills:
They are testing the waters, this could be it... EDIT: On second thought, I doubt the single track will sell well and SEGA would decide there's no demand for a HD remaster. And even if they did a HD remaster, would it be a good one or just one with issues? Think Silent Hill Collection or Resident Ev...
Do they even do HD releases? I remember Sonic Adventure on the PS3 which just had borders around the screens. Shenmue will probably just get a straight port with no additional features or touch ups.
This is it now, the past month has been exciting and frantic with many surprises but it's going to be calm for a long while now and we have to get used to that, in some ways it's more agonizing.
There's nothing that we can do, Kickstarter campaign is over, now we just relax and wait.
I suppose we can promote the Paypal campaign but that's not going to carry the presence the Kickstarter one did with it's journalist articles (Not all were bad!), everyone eyeing the countdown, etc
It's annoying as hell, we know better but what about someone curious about Shenmue who wants to learn more? The negative minority shout the loudest and therefore it's their voice that is often heard first, putting off new people.
How would you feel if he spread the goals out? So if he took the expanded x5 mini game goal and maybe put 2 mini games into two of the towns and 1 into another.
Maybe things like the infiltration mission and other goals could be spread out as well.
I think it ends with Lan Di's death. I think about Project Berkeley and in the game developer conference Yu Suzuki said the entire game could be categorized into four parts: 1. Sadness (Tragedy strikes the main character, he goes on a mission) 2. Depature (The character goes to China for revenge) 3....
It's crazy, it feels like taking an exam in the way that you get tense or maybe a bit worried about the exam, then it's over and you can breath a sigh of relief, knowing it's now out of your hands and you just wait for the results. It's only been a month but it feels like so much happened since that...
I don't think Sony will contribute to development and chuck in millions at the end. But breaking multiple kickstarter records is going to get their attention and when Yu Suzuki wants to make Shenmue IV he probably won't even need Kickstarter because Sony will jump in then.
