Re: Ryo's Timex Variants

I asked a bespoke watch manufacturer whether they could make me a certain custom watch (it was Ryo's. I uploaded an image). Well to my surprise, the answer was a yes! At first though, they said that they don't usually make copies of other watches and that it would be more cost effective to use one ...

The ones I'm selling above aren't overpriced

Re: Shenmue 1&2 HD Poll

Okay so not what we want but what we expect? Well there can be quite a difference. I think we all want a physical copy but will they do it? I expect, that when they finally do rerelase the games, they actually will make a physical version for stores. After they've gone trough all the trouble of mak...

Re: Shenmue 1&2 HD Poll

I used to be against the whole digital delivery thing. With time I pretty much changed my mind due to the recurrent practice of buying a lot of software which wasn't available as a physical version in the first place... I got used to it and its not as bad as I originally thought. Don't know if it's...

Re: Shenmue 1&2 HD Poll

I'd love to see a physical release, but all that material costs. I'd bet on download only. Regardless, we will all be happy with either, right?

Re: Dusting off the Dreamcast...

What kinda sucks is how inconvenient a wired controller is once you've played modern consoles for so long. Also, being able to map the controls on emulation is sweet. Luckily, the XBOX 360 and DC controller are both awesome and I don't feel like I need to get used to either one again when switching.

Shenmue 1&2 HD Poll

I am very hopeful and optimistic for the release of these titles in HD. People definitely seem to be at odds over what form it will be available in, though.

Re: Lets Talk Shenmue HD

From what I remember they no longer have the rights to the original engine used to create the games. If anyone knows what I’m talking about please clarify because I’ve heard this but I can’t remember the specifics or if it’s even true. From what I’ve gathered through the years is that if they remad...

Re: Lets Talk Shenmue HD

That would be so cool if they released the HD collection and unlocked the crouch feature we saw on "What's Shenmue?" and the bicycle riding option that was taken out of the final game. The possibilities are fun to think about.

Dusting off the Dreamcast...

As a kid, I got Shenmue as soon as it came out. I ordered my European version of 2 and a boot disc as soon as it was available as well. I beat those rather quickly and every few years, I'd play through them again. I eventually moved on to emulation where I've played the games in stellar resolutions ...

Re: Ryo's Accessories

The instances you've mentioned are more product placement/easter eggs that don't really detract from the game. The phone would do. Dramatically. It'd also render the "phone card" thing pointless. The product placement idea doesn't pertain to Joy's bike. The Honda brand was not promoted in...

I'm into sports bikes, so I'm not as well-versed in cruiser bikes. It resembles the 1986-ish Yamaha XJ700 Maxim to me.

Re: Ryo's Accessories

nevermind, misread your post. hadn't realized there weren't any watches that looked like the T43371 in the 80s. i kind of assumed the T43371 was a vintage style watch when it came out. although i guess analog watches hadn't radically changed all that much between 87-99. It was a very simplistic wat...
