If the game isn't shown at E3 then that is seriously bad. We don't get an update for weeks and then they say 'Sorry, the game is being delayed until 2019.' I'm not expecting anything big at E3 but it's gonna make a huge difference if it is.

I think he's also said in the past Shenmue II was chapter 2, some re-purposed bits of 4, and the start of 5. 3 was apparently dropped altogether, but the scenario could return in a later game. Shenmue 3 will be chapter 5 and 6 I believe but it makes me think how will Yu put the rest of the chapters in Shenmue IV? Most likely won't end with IV then.

From what I remember Yu said that because of Deep Silver he can now make the game more open world, as well as 50npc's have turned into 200. It's likely that the $7million goal has been reached now without crowd funding but I guess we can't be too sure. Hopefully anyway!

I think they will still be there, I can't see them being removed. But like others are saying, they won't be as long. It's gonna felt weird looking at the loading screens without the noise of the disc playing in in the background on the dreamcast lol.

This is very good news! It's so great to see how much attention Shenmue is getting. I'm glad for Sega and I like to think that it's not only Shenmue fans who are buying it. Inevitably it's likely around 70% or more who are but the new fans who are buying it will hopefully give that boost to Shenmue ...
