Re: Are you still hyped?

But remember when Star Wars came back in 1999? That was also a 16 year hiatus and everyone was super excited about another Star Wars film. THEN we found out that the creator had lost his talent over the years. Will the same happen with Shenmue 3? i think we should actually play the game before maki...

S3 Gameplay - Should Ryo be able to collide with NPCs?

In the previous games it was impossible for Ryo run into and collide with an NPC, he would merely slowdown and come to a stop just before coming into proximity with them.

Should Shenmue 3 continue with this scheme, or should NPC collisions be added?

Re: Are you still hyped?

one question i have is that given the game has 70k backers, why aren't the forums busier? i suppose its because of the lack of any real news.
i imagine things will get pretty crazy whenever the first trailer arrives.

Re: Making our own HD remaster with Reshade.

What is your favourite aspect of the Shenmue series?

I love all of the above, but if i was to pick a favourite it would be atmosphere and immersion ect. I have always just loved walking around the world 'taking it all in'. Its a more gentle escapism than most games. Please feel free to expand upon or specify some other aspect of the series that you en...

How long have you been a Shenmue fan?

Just curious. Has anybody only discovered Shenmue and became a fan since the Kickstarter?

personally I've been following Shenmue from the beginning, anticipating the games release from magazine previews ect. and I bought it on the day of its European release and have been an ardent fan ever since.

Re: Size and detail of the world

for Shenmue, its detail over size every time, imo.
large yet vacant/ bland open worlds are super boring and soulless. detail and size is always a compromise.

hopefully we will see a the return of proper NPC routines, at least in the smaller population towns.

Re: Shenmue III controls/gameplay

just had an idea about the time skip feature. hold L1 to view wrist watch. you can then press Square to activate its backlight or hold X to initiate the time skip feature. The hands on the face rotate and you let the button go at your desired time. Maybe while or after you do this, the camera can zo...

Re: Analysis: "Especially Since You Bought Merchandise"

Switch, could you also explain the Abe store lady's phrase when you lose at the raffle "you should have come yesterday." i'm sure something got lost in translation here too, because the majority of the time i did buy a ticket yesterday, and still lost!

Re: A huge Shenmue theory - A lot of questions answered

if Tentei knew that Iwao had both mirrors he would certainly have ordered lan di to take them both. but then again maybe Tentei's plan is more elaborate and devious, and even lan di himself is just a pawn in his game to achieve total power. Maybe Tentei is manipulating Lan di, only informing him of ...
