Re: Random Shenmue III Thoughts

That's a shame about Eric Kelso and Paul Lucas since they voiced a lot of Shenmue characters and voiced them well . Paul's Lan Di's voice has such a great sound to it that's intimidating and also his Chai voice is also perfect for that character. Will be interesting to hear what the new VAs sound li...

Re: Random Thoughts

Go for a job in IT, Animegamer. Or something of that nature. There's plenty of decent office jobs nowadays that don't involve just stapling and filing nowadays. You can get in via Helpdesk jobs and work your way from there.

Re: Recent Gaming Purchases

Double post, sorry and all that, don't ban me! But I got a Nintendo Switch and Mario Odyssey for my birthday. The console is fantastic, so small and easy to get started. The game itself is a masterpiece. Best Mario game I've played since Super Mario 64, for me (yeah, I played Galaxy, not my thing, a...

Re: Sega Genesis/Megadrive Classics

PS3/360 collection had the exact same games and more didn't it? Treasure games included (Gunstar, Alien Soldier, Dynamite Headdy).

I'll just use that copy.

Re: Yakuza series

Yakuza 0 is a masterpiece, in my opinion and the best game Yakuza/Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has ever put out. I remember you and certain others on here annoyed that Majima is getting so much limelight but I'm like Yakuza 0 actually put him up as a really deep character and showed another side to his char...

Re: Recent Gaming Purchases

Wow, didn't realise there's loads of cool NeoGeo games on Switch, that'll be great for when i want to experience some new retro games. Sengoku 3 is a legit great side scrolling brawler though. Out of all of those, i think only Alliance Alive is up my alley. Yeah Utawarerumono are SRPGs but like 90% ...

Re: Release Date Speculation

Surprised so many think it's so late into the year...nobody thinks that would be too late if Shenmue 3 is releasing in Winter as well? Or is everyone thinking 3 is getting delayed again into early next year?

Re: Yakuza series

Ok guys. This game is talked up quite a bit. I have never played ANY of the Yakuza games. I'm interested in playing but don't even know where to begin. There's what.... 7 or 8 of these games now? I have a PS4 so it would have to start and end on that platform. I also have to find the time. How does...

Re: What happened to Sega-AM2?

If you look at the bottom of this MobyGames list (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dreamcast/shenmue/credits) it actually gives us the answer to this, albeit not descriptive who does what but I recall looking into it a few years back and seeing some links between the developers, the staff within SEGA J...

Re: PS Vita version

Vita was great for Japanese games, though. Which was the lifeblood of the PS1 and PS2. Some really underrated and really overlooked games on it! But yeah, Vita is well and truly done for now, even Japanese devs are swapping over to Switch and Phone games to create these kinds of games (mid tier or l...

Re: What happened to Sega-AM2?

My bad, you're correct, I got AM3 and AM4 (CS1) mixed up. Yeah Nagoshi pretty much pinched some of AM2 off to join his team, some of whom did work on Shenmue and the various other AM2 titles as well. I think the AM divisions did use to rotate staff around a fair bit as and when required like Atlus d...

How do the boss battles in 6 measure up to 0's (which are my favourite in the series yet)?

Re: Return of the Passport?

The fact that there's been absolutely no mention of this yet leaves me to be a bit pessimistic about us getting this as well but I'd love to be wrong. I'd love to participate in the leaderboards for the arcade games. :P

Re: What happened to Sega-AM2?

Anime tie-ins and arcade games that never leave Japan. This. Their games are stuck in Japan. Border Break looks like a cool mecha action game and Soul Reverse (a fantasy action game) is releasing across arcades in Japan which also looks pretty cool. Hopefully we get them released over here. And who...
