Re: Religion

Not forming an opinion on this. Just thought it was interesting. Religion is slowly dying out in the US. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3497755/Religion-dying-New-study-finds-just-18-percent-people-60-younger-attend-church-50-believe-God.html This isn't shocking given the division i...

Re: Religion

I was talking to shredingskin. He suggested that it's possible for societies to be without religion. As if this will fix humanities problems.

Re: Religion

It's dehumanization of the person you're debating. When all you have to say is "burden of proof" it's barely an argument much less a conversation between individuals and any other argument would be labeled as dehumanization similarly. Anyways, the point of Carmain's argument isn't just evo...

Re: Guilin is the best part of any game to me

I don't think it's a contest. Without Guilin Shenmue would be dead. If the game ended at Kowloon, who literally gives a shit what happens next. It's just a game where dude conquered and doesn't look inside himself, at all, and then rides into the sunset in the search for treasure. Pretty much every ...

Re: Ryo's face

I don't think the problem with Crash is technology. I think the problem is the design. There's no reason he needs to have fur for instance. They could have went the Sonic route and instead gave him actual fur. Terrible design decision.

Re: Religion

I think most atheist arguments are poor. It's a simple burden of proof, and let me say this straight, most of the time the real reason is "because I want to". At a personality level both the believe of god and the lack of it, gives the person the sense of "knowing", and with tha...

Re: Religion

A big problem with that argument is that you assume they were executed for their scientific belief and use this as proof that the Church is anti-science. A classic example is Gallileo. People say he was tortured and executed when he wasn't. Dude was placed under house arrest and lived the good life....

Re: Religion

Anyways, the more I read theology and talk to atheists the more I think most atheist arguments are poor. They argue them as logical and rational but most of them (especially the bulk of Problem of Evil) are emotional arguments rather than rational. The more I grow in faith the more I find atheist ar...

Re: Religion

Einstein was a deist. The scientific revolution was also largely a result of intellectuals who believed in a God and who wanted to provide a foundation for physics that was compatible with such a belief. Copernicus, Gassendi, Galileo, Kepler, Newton, and more, all believed in a God. It is certainly ...

Re: Religion

And at some point worst enemies... That's not a very compelling point TBH. That's part of why of the abrahamanic religions the jews are one step ahead (probably also because they were btfo everywhere, so they learned to keep it low, while profiting from goyim), they take religion as a guideline to ...

Re: Ryo's face

It's still a bad example because that's just Pacman character art. In actual Pacman games he still looks like the one on the left. And as said, the one on the right has been represented in Pacman character art for 30 years. Here's how Pacman looks in a modern Pacman game. https://www.technobuffalo.c...
