I kinda miss the old guys. I spent a lot of time here during my late teens. I'm 28 now, wow, 12 years since I joined... Quite a bit happened in that time, I wonder what the other members are up to.

I got my degree in computer engineering, led the clandestine life for a while (does anyone remember when I sent my resume to the CIA as a joke? prob not.), but now I am working as a computer engineer for a weapons company. About to quit soon to start my own software company.

The junk forum was my favorite place, I am somewhat sad to see it gone.

I didn't play Shenmue 1 or 2 14 years go.

I played them in 2006. :p

But, since I did play them? My grandma and grandpa died (different sides of the family, so everyone was affected) around Christmas in 2006. It was the worst Christmas I ever had and its been had for me to enjoy the holiday ever since.

I graduated college.

I got a job, dated people.

I started exploring my sexuality more and managed to admit to myself I like men while also realizing I was transgender. I later transitioned from male to female.

I've focused on my art heavily to achieve my dream of working in animation and so far, let's just say, that goal is going well so far. :)

Next up? Moving to LA. \:D/

Let's see -

*Went to uni, got an English Literature degree
*Got a few full time jobs, the current one being a support worker for people with autism (with shit pay for what it involves)
*Realised I was gay and came out gradually to family and friends
*Moved out of my parents house
*Got a long-term boyfriend, who I currently share a house with
*Started writing a novel, and also currently trying to get a poetry collection published

It's crazy to think all this has happened in my life since Shenmue II came out...and by the time 3 does, I will be 30 years old...goddamn...

At some point in the last 14 years (I think it was 2004 or 2005), my girlfriend bought me Shenmue 2 for the Dreamcast, for my birthday. Last year, I married that girl.

I also finished school, college, university, have had multiple jobs, bought my own house with my wife etc etc.

I've also completed both Shenmue 1 and 2 probably more than a dozen times each.

Looking back on it, it seems incredible. It feels like only yesterday that the year was 2000, I was living with my parents and I received Shenmue on Christmas day for my glorious Dreamcast. That game blew my mind!

Graduated high school. Completed some college. Bounced around from a few jobs. Both my grandparents died in the same week :( . My Celtics won the NBA Finals in 2008. Became involved in my first serious relationship. Sadly got addicted to opiate painkillers :/ what a rough road that's been. Recovery is a bitch. And by the time III comes out I'll be 29 or 30.

Alright everyone. After a few requests and support from members in me doing this again and especially after Shenmue 3 was announced I decided it was indeed a great time to revitalize the podcast and stick to it.

I present to you all the first episode, which is really just an intro to where I want to go with this. Episode 0 is just myself but I will get others to join in soon enough.

Feedback is welcome. I want to turn this into a community podcast and build it up to help the fan base.

I must admit, I was always relatively quiet and inoffensive when it came to posting on this site back in the past. But I think it's safe to say that I spent the majority of my teenage years around this place (Well, the early parts at least.) and this place was probably my main introduction to using the internet on a regular basis and there are few regrets on that front. I even tried joining an Ace Attorney forum many years after the shenmue obsession had started to die out on me (Admittedly, I had essentially given up hope of ever seeing number 3 happen) but it still wasn't the same as this place.

I think I said this in another post a few days ago. But as soon as I saw the announcement, my first thought was "I wonder how the dojo is reacting to this." Well, tell a lie. My first thought was "Wait, seriously??" and my second thought was "Where's my wallet.." then I eventually came to thinking about this place. ANYWAY...It's the thought that counts, even if it is the third thought.

Needless to say, I've seen a lot of familiar faces popping up in the past few days while I've been lurking, and it's really great to see everyone doing well. Not to mention that the excitement hasn't died out completely yet.

Wow fourteen years. Fourteen years ago I was twelve. At fourteen I joined a gang , the gangster disciples to be exact, because I'm a fucking idiot who needed to be cool and respected Since I was a nerd who waa bullied. Had my daughter at sixteen. At twenty I was done, completely done with the gang so I moved pretty far away and started over. College (never actually graduated :(. Got a good job (I regret to inform you that it wasn't a blow one) had my second daughter in 2012 and am still with the same girl I was with since mIddle school. Also in 2008 I lost my ability to swallow for unknown reasons and almost died. I'm fine now but that was one hell of an adventure lol (long story). It's been good, it's been lovely, it's been bad, it's been ugly. No complaints

Just ordered tickets to a Carrie Rodriguez show in a couple months. Pretty excited. I think I've said before, it's kind of a "bucket list" thing for me, getting to see one of her shows. I don't get to experience live music very often as it is, but this one is only a scant 40 minutes away. And getting to see one of my overall favorite acts in person? Priceless. Had to jump on that.
