That was what I was hoping for. As long as I can make at least one fan feel better with the privelidged position I was in, then that was a success for me. I certainly don't want to be that guy who is like, "yea I seen stuff but I can't speak about it" for an ego boost or out of satisfaction. I'm not that way inclined. LanDC more or less covered what we seen. But at the same time, Harry and Yu said to please keep it to ourselves so it's a hard position for us to be in.

That's one side of the coin, like I said I don't like being a secretive guy, but on the other side, we know what's coming in terms of what each scene details, so our surprise is ruined. It's a situation where you make a sacrifice either way. So I just played the fence by trying my best to get you guys reassured and excited. That's what I took away from the entire experience, and not just a few minutes of non finished footage. Not what was on the screen, but the sheer fact that this really is a proper Shenmue game. Not a 15 year later interpretation, or a watered down Kickstarter game. This is as if you got the Dreamcast game in 2006 and it's just been made with a better engine. I cannot emphasise that enough, and I am counting down the days to December when I am sure we will all feel the same way.

These domains were registered four months ago , at the same time that Sega Europe's COO Jurgen Post was coming forward to explain that while the idea of releasing new versions of Shenmue 1 & 2 had their "full attention," they were not yet able to greenlight the project due to complications with product licensing.
A third of a year later, there has been no further news apart from this belated discovery of two domain names registered within days of those particular comments.
( Some sites are mistakenly reporting that the domain records have been recently updated. T he date they are reading is the last refresh date of the WHOIS database - basically the last time the record was checked for changes, not the last time there were any.)

IMO, I see a positive side: the gaming press will question @SEGA_Europe again about ShenmueHD & maybe we'll get a new statement/status :D

Update: According to various individuals who work in retail abroad—whose employment we verified—the game should come out in April . The remasters are titled Shenmue 1 & 2 Pack right now in their systems but that might change as we get closer to an announcement. Keep in mind that these individuals might have forged their information so take this with a grain of salt until Sega offers an official press release or statement.

While Shenmue is iconic in its own right, Shenmue II impacted me in a big way . It came at a perfect time in my life, and has kept me waiting for a follow-up ever since. I hope this remaster project goes off without a hitch, and that all of the minigames, arcade machines and all, are intact!

Shenmue 1 & 2 HD

Now that Yu Suzuki has made his dream a reality and is chiselling away on Shenmue 3 for PS4, it’s about time SEGA did the obvious and let us revisit the original games in glorious high-definition. Ryu Hazuki’s revenge epic attracted only a niche audience upon its Dreamcast launch, so the chance for a wider circle of gamers to experience the cult classics via a PS4 HD update is an opportunity too good to miss out on. Sony’s press conference would be a great platform to announce the Shenmue HD bundle, given that Suzuki-san previously used E3 2015 as the stage to launch the Shenmue 3 Kickstarter. We know that SEGA has registered a trademark for Shenmue recently, and the latest rumors have suggested the collection is indeed real and being prepped for a launch in late 2017. Hopefully it won’t be long before we’re racing forklift trucks in the harbor and laying the smackdown Hazuki-style upon legions of punks in Hong Kong’s back streets.

At this moment the only "SH" remake (almost) confirmed for this sony's e3 is Shadow of Colossus

I really love Ryo's model evolution!
In various aspects it's more realistic than Ryo Shenmue passport

Shenhua model is great too, maybe she needs just a little more "chinese" details on hers model.

We need to consider that PS4 and Xbox one are X86 like PC so the initial effort to port Shenmue engine to them is easier than port to an ARM platform like Switch
