Im now in the process of selling around 75% of my possesions to decrease the move load.
I'll have a listing and pictures for some games and gaming related swag items that are just not space efficient for me anymore.
No that doesnt include my Shenmue collection ;)

Me and my wife are very excited and although we were trying for the fall this year, we now know that atleast I have a guranteed job lined up for when I get there instead of just winging it.

Once I get there with my workers visa(for time/money savings) I will then change it to a spouse visa for permanent resident status. Once ive been there a year or so ill then proceed to start house hunting or even remodling a home on my parents in-law's land. Then que the baby making music if it hasnt already begun the momment I get to Japan.

I cant wait. Im still so far off yet this gives me alot of time to continue working on savings for the house.

Certain games were said to require a 24/7 connection due to cloud powering, yet now all games will be playable offline? So cloud computing suddenly isn't a necessity and I'm to pay $100 more for 8GB's of DDR3 RAM (with 3GB's used for the OS) versus 8GB's of DDR5 (with 1GB used for the OS)? If not the ground work itself, the intentions were laid out there for everyone to see. This back pedaling makes it look even worse frankly.

Microsoft's inability to vocalize what it was trying to do. Mixed with ignorance from a small highly vocal portion of the fan base caused this change. It's not a good thing this happened but nothing can be done about it now.

It's not a good thing because we cannot see now how it would have worked. Those who were more than able to test this new model can't judge it based on actual usage and policies in action, only rampant speculation. Many people including myself are always connected. We now have to step back and wait another 10 years for things to be where they should be right now. And why is this? Because a small percentage of the total fan-base claimed they couldn't keep up with a simple internet connection, feared a camera that you can easily turn off or turn around and went completely nuts over the inability to bum games off people, rent and sell them back to buy new ones. Honestly, who wants customers like that? Can you even call them customers? Should any company really change policy based on people like that?

For the people crying about the family share stuff, Microsoft just put that "feature" on their blog out of panic to elude some of their fans. None of it was scheduled at launch and they had no idea on how to implement it in the near future.
Basically, you would be buying empty disks with a code to download them on xbox live with no sharing options until Microsoft finally released their family share thing, which could be canceled if they felt like it.

And you don't need black magic to create a console that plays both disks and library games.

I will be the first to say I am not a big fan of the Nolan trilogy. In fact I just don't care for them at all. That said the bit where Joker messes with the detonator because the explosions stopped was 100% improvised. The explosions on set did not go as planned and got delayed and Heath stayed in character and improvised. So when he jumped it was a genuine reaction. I love improvising moments in film.

I mentioned this along time ago but I was reminded of it again recently and finally went on street view and nabbed a shot of it, and I was lucky I plopped the street view cursor on the exact spot its at my first try when I was just guessing the general area it was in. This fence mural has been there a few years now, I don't go to that area or down that part of that street too much even though it isn't but 2 miles from my house but when I do I get to see this. And as you can see its on a fairly busy street too.

The people here who are defending that guy's racist rant are completely nuts. I had never seen that video before, but Brotherman is completely spot on. You don't just say things like that because your upset. He got rattled and whatever latent racism that was inside of him erupted to the surface. And yes if a guy said to a woman that she was a dumb cunt who should know her place and that 50 years ago she could get legally raped by her husband and so shouldn't interrupt a man, then that man hates women and is deserving of being called a misogynist. Say what you will about it, if it were open world 90% of its problems wouldn't be there. Everything about the platforming is basically perfect. There isn't any issue in that game that isn't in something like Uncharted.
