So the windows 7 versions are what we're getting, they've got the PSP upgrades built in along with the better sound/graphics quality. I'm doing a perfect BP run on my vita, then I'll do two runs (standard and full bp) when the pc version comes out.

I'm about 2 chapters in, and I love it. It's so refreshing to have a academic take on the "video games as art debate". The perspective is also from that of gamers and development, and not from marketing and critics. I thought I knew Sega, but i've learned a lot in the short time i've spent with it so far. Definitely worth a read for anyone into game development, or just the DC and its legacy.

Picked these up today. on left we have a locally grown strain thats a cross between Bubblegum x Chernobyl, on the right we have diesel kush, that shit looks like green crack in a bag. My guy let me get a quarter of the bubblegum that was from his personal stash for some music festival over the weekend, its the only one i have tried so far, its some of the best tasting weed I have ever smoked, it actually does taste like bubblegum too and strongly, very strong sweet taste, glad I got it as its an insanely potent high to boot.

I think there's at least a slight difference between people who enjoy (the majority of us aren't obsessive about it at all) a not-particularly-popular adventure game, and a group of grown men who dote on a cartoon intended for pre-10 little girls so much to the extent that they gladly embrace an all-encompassing name for themselves - one which intentionally rhymes with " ponies ," mind you - and set up conventions to celebrate their shared obsession.

This is what I hate about collector editions. They ship the no frills standards in durable plastic cases. Then they make the more expensive CE a flimsy carboard box that is so cheap that it will likely be bent and banged up before you even get it home. Those that pay a premium for a fancy version do so in part for posterity people. :mad:

You're just getting older and interpreting your not giving a shit about the new generations of stuff as meaning its not good or doesn't have merit. It happens almost everyone.

Believe it or not the shit from when we were teenagers was just as crappy and the people were just as dumb as they are now. Everything just seemed more fun and interesting because it was new and let's face it, we were dumb. Same goes for the previous generations.

A lot of us are born when our parents are in the type of mindset you seem to be in. Angry about the "current state" of the world of art, they tell tall tales of the good old days and hype up the era they grew up in to a mythological status at a time when your mind is most vulnerable to that kind of malarkey. Then the grandparents jump in and tell you your parents are wrong and what youth should really be like.

I'm not saying we shouldn't respect the past. I love the past, all of my life took place there. I just want everyone one to realize that we're looking at it from Inception-like layers of nostalgia. Starting with the haze of newness and nostalgia for your own youth and then adding another layer of thick illogical fondness for every generation of nostalgic ancestors relating the stories of their generation to wide eyed descendants before us.

It has created an over emphasis on past triumphs and a weird deification of any person or thing from a previous era.
Great things are accomplished during every generation. Its just this weird nostalgia-ception thing we call history that tries to make us think only great things happened during the time of our predecessors. And that our achievements are somehow not as great. Ok now I'm really rambling. What I meant to say was:

No matter what anyone tells you, whatever time it is right now is the very best time to be alive.

This game was a favorite just over a decade ago. I remember buying it as a kid because the box looked awesome (hadn't heard of it otherwise), and lo and behold, the game blew my mind with its seamless blend of on-foot hack-n-slash and aerial dragon combat. This game was really something else.
When I thought of it again recently, I just had to find a copy of the original big box version.
Kind of surprised this isn't on gog.com or something now, but it's no matter; it works perfectly on Windows 7 with a simple patch and a tiny little trick when getting into the game.
Had me ecstatic as hell when I played a bit of it yesterday.

oh my goodness I am in love with this Cherry Pie strain, most excellent sativa. I also got this other strain called Lambs Breath, that weed almost actually smells like doo doo but it doesnt taste like that at all, it has a very distinct flavor. Also got some OG Kush but the cherry pie was definitely the show taker of this batch.
