Man, I actually don't read your posts, you're just a fanboy, but ok, just once.

- What's the market of the switch ? People who want a powerful enough dedicated console/portable with multiplayer posibilities right out of the box.

- About smartphones ? Have a look at the Switch library in 5 months, and like 4 years of cellphones, people just don't really make hardcore games for phones, that's pretty much it (and if you want to play you have to use an external controller). Maybe that will change with phoneVR, but who would call a headset + joysticks "portable" ?

- Nintendo have had their fair share of problems with third parties (and consoles flooded with shovelware), will the switch change that ? Who the fuck knows, the market is the one that ends up speaking, and it looks like the switch it's the new hot thing and the game attach ratio for now seems pretty high. Also the hardware it's quite compatible with newer releases, so porting should not be that much of a problem.

At the end of the day, I'm actually really liking the Switch, when they announced it seemed some sort of weird tablet thing, neither portable nor a full fledged console, but I bought into the hype, and I'm loving it. There's not much to it. Nintendo it's pretty much the best all-around developer there is to this day, if they keep the momentum, at least it will have a bunch of really good games.

It's a neat console, and most importantly it's a fucking new concept in the industry that +10 years consoles have been just a lowgrade pc with paid exclusive games. If you really want to talk about "what is the place for X" you should ask pretty much anything else but the switch.

When you get information from Yu and the producer himself about Shenmue related content appearing at a gaming event, and it turns out not to happen, you learn the hard way not to take anyone's word about when or where footage of this game will appear. Plans change, and it can be upsetting. Frustrating even. At the end of the day everyone is entitled to their opinion. But at the same time, everyone should realise this is going to come out at some stage, and that will be a glorious time, so until then, all i can ask is to try and see positives whenever you can, and also try to remain patient. This is a long process, and none of us are going anywhere.

As for the video, i just shrugged my shoulders. It is what it is, and there are positives there. As the person said, they were testing for polygon dents and movements. Thats what i want from them. Thorough testing of all movement variations. He wont be doing jumping jacks in the game for gods sake. I thought it was great, watching the characters various muscle elements flex and expand with the relevant movements. Theres going to be fighting in this after all. As for the look, hes just a made up skeleton with a prototype shell essentially. There will be lots more detail added so im not concerned about that. His clothes looked cool too, as Switch pointed out in his update.

One thing to think/hope for is that since a delay announcement is inevitable now, they will need to counter that announcement with something to give us some positivity along with it, so a trailer may be included then. Perhaps Gio told them that was a better plan, or perhaps he wanted Shenmue at E3 and YSNET said no. Either way, im over E3 now, and looking forward to what the summer has in store overall for Shenmue.
As i always resort back to... one day we will finish Shenmue 3, and be praying to go back to the exciting times of monthly updates when we didnt have a clue what was coming. Its hard in life to stop and take stock of the now, but try to with the Shenmue 3 development process, because, one day in the blink of an eye, it will all be over and life will be very different.

Still, being attacked for having a different opinion about the game and being told to leave is an act out of emotion and unwarranted. That's great that he's being promoted to moderator, but I still vehemently disagree with his attacks on me, and my love for Shenmue. I won't go any further than that and will not derail the subject at hand. Carry on.

Yes, it's complete, yes it works, yes I love this series dearly (number 2 favourite SEGA series behind Shenmue and just in front of Shinobi which I also love - Sonic probably being my fourth or fifth next to Streets of Rage), yes I have a Saturn to play it on (which I have been all weekend), yes it was a lot of money but far less than what it normally goes for, yes I really have waited a decade and a half to purchase this game like a sad bastard and yes it is fucking awesome .

I purchased an HTC vive last night. I always wanted one, but the release of Star Trek: Bridge crew is what really caused me to pull the trigger. I was a massive fan of bridge commander, and an actual multiplayer version of that is precisely what the Star Trek nerd in me wanted.

I do not understand why this game requires VR, though. It can be played with a controller, and no moving around is required. I guess ubisoft got paid big bucks to make this VR to help sell PSVR and HTC Vive units. The game came free with my purchase of the vive.

Looks like a slow E3 for Nintendo so far. The only major things announced for the Switch are a version of Fifa missing features, a port of Skyrim without the new content and a feral Mario crossover involving Rabbids. Hardly a good showing but indicative of Nintendo’s lacklustre third-party support.

I've played through the first half of some games up to three times. I always start over because I don't know wtf I'm doing in the game. It's super annoying lol

I stopped somewhere around half way through persona 4 for over a year before going back and finishing it so I was a bit clueless of where I was at.

This happens far too often to me. I get into a game, something new and shiny releases and I make the mistake of trying it out. 6 months down the road I'm starting a game over from scratch because I don't know what's going on anymore. When I was younger I never had this problem, it all started once I got money lol. Back in the day I only bought one or two games at a time so it wasn't as much of a problem.
I miss those days personally, having no choice but to play one game made me get the most out of it.

Well I've seen enough. Nintendo Switch Purchase confirmed. Its funny because I have been contemplating taking it back old school and playing Xenogears again, for the 3rd time. I have been listening to the music from it alot lately, and the game is even sitting beside my PS3 right now ready to go when im ready.

Now Xenoblade 2, Yep thats correct folks Xenoblade Chronicles X was indeed not Xenoblade 2. And oh how happy I am about that fact, damn the low quality on that video but it looks like the character designs are solid, and I think I like the direction of the visuals, although it seems that Chronicles X may actually have better graphics than this game? Not quite sure but either way I still like the visual style, and look at that music team YES! What an unexpected treat this is, had no idea, great job Monolith coming with something I actually really wouldnt mind! But it has high standards to live up to against the likes of the original Xenoblade, we shall see. Cant wait for this one!

I have a rather large Xenoblade collection. So I can easily say it's a game I will have in my hands launch day even without a Switch. getting one likely next year but will have something to play on it when I do. Too much PS4 stuff this year for me. This also means I need to get the OST for the 3rd time on this series. If they do another CE will get that also. Xenoblade is easily my favorite Nintendo franchise.

I don't think he was holding back tears because he was proud of what he was made (even though he probably was), bur rather because Miyamotowas praising him directly for creating such a great game. I am damn sure I would be holding back tears too if Miyamoto was praising a game I spent a significant time making.That is like Nikolai Tesla himself praising an electrical engineer, Isaac Newton praising a physicist, Mozart praising a composer, Michael Jordan praising a basketball player, and so on... I don't see how one cannot break down when the one of the greatest of all time people in your field is directly praising you.
