Like I said in the podcast. I just pre-ordered the Japanese special edition for 7,980 yen and the U.S special edition for $80. Just so I can play it during the week or two its coming in shipping from the states.
I'll probably play Metal Gear Online with the Japanese version only and then when my U.S version comes in ill start the single player story.
Total of $160.. and worth every god damn penny for my most anticipated game of the year. Maybe ever. (besides Shenmue games)

I've been playing every Metal Gear Solid game available multiple times. Im fucking siked.
I almost want to cosplay the night of the Japanese release.

You can only get the SE from GameStop. You have been warned. Oh, and Europe gets left out of any of that. Same goes for the bundle. I'll have to look into importing instead now.

Ya I pre-ordered mine through gamestop ofcourse. And ya just import it. No point in buying anything PAL anyways considering its region free and cheaper most of the time.

MGS2 has the exact same cover as you guys did. So yeah, we always seem to get Shinkawa's artwork. I can't decide which has the best cover out of ourselves and the Japanese release...I'll be getting both the Japanese release and European release, anyhow. I love the Japanese voiceovers, plus the controls are supposed to be different. We're all getting controls that "cater more to Westerners", or something to that effect...

It's fucking Tao-san from Shenmue doing the narration (who's supposedly going to be a character in the game). Jesus fucking Christ the guy has an annoying voice. I can't even tell what nationality he is, one minute he sounds English, then Australian, then South African. It's as if he has been told by the director; take some heroin, then come back and we'll record your voice on take one. I much preferred MGSaga 1.0 where the Japanese guy narrated it.

I also think the US gets usually worse covers that others in games in general with some exceptions..in MGS case I liked the US one better or at least the copy I have with the red letters and offwhite background for a simple streamlined look.

I also usually prefer artwork over CG stuff.

The regular box doesnt have the same artistic style of all the other boxes from MGS1,2,3 so im glad to be getting the SE version because thats deffinitly in line with the series.

My God, this is the best trailer of them all, but it's only in Japanese (should be fine for Axm, hehe)!
