Still getting awfully worked up for a series you've said you don't even like.

[color=#FF8000]Nope, it's just as much a stealth game as MGS is.

Pretty calm actually. Just was being flamboyent for the sake of being flamboyent because I felt like it. Also any time I see a moron rapper I have to knock it. It's in my nature. :P Also yet again. Read what I said before. I LIKE MGS I just DON'T LOVE. K for the last time I say that

Hideo Kojima has reportedly announced that the fifth entry in the series will use in-house FOX Engine and conversation trees; date and platforms remain unspecified.

Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima has reportedly confirmed that there will be a fifth entry in the main franchise.

The sequel will not have direct ties with upcoming Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. He also confirmed that Metal Gear's main character Solid Snake will be around for the fifth game, despite wanting him to die at the end of Metal Gear Solid 4.

I'm just gonna shut my mouth and keep my nerd rage in check until I see more details.

This is just so predictable. Depressingly predictable considering that Kojima used to be one of the few developers who could genuinely surprise, and provide the unexpected. Though, to be fair, while I think it would be best for everyone if Snake and his saga were just allowed to rest without being dragged back for yet another sequel, we don't necessary know what role he'll play, and I'm hoping that-at the very least- he won't be a leading character. Similarly, I'm also hoping Kojima won't play a leading role in the game's development, not because he'll do a bad job, but as OL said- it would be nice to see him stick to his guns and resist the pressure.

Nonetheless if it turns out that Kojima is directing a new MGS with Snake as the protagonist, I'm almost guaranteed to love it. But I can't help but feel that stretching out Snake's saga (especially given how very definitive MGS4 was in it's nature) might leave a bitter taste in the mouth.

Is Kojima a sell out? Well that's hard to say, but I'm going to lean on the optimistic side and say: No. From everything I've seen of Kojima, it's his passion for his creation and his creation's supporters that defines him. I think it's plausible that he's either not happy with how Snake's story ended in MGS4, or he simply feels that the fans want more out of Snake and feel's responsible to provide them with it. Of course, I could be wrong, and he could feel more responsible to Konami, and so cynically add Snake to MGS5 for the sole purpose of maximising profits. In reality, I think it's probably a healthy combination of all these motivations.

But please don't let project Ogre be anything to do with Metal Gear!

Or, more likely, it's because he likes money. ;-)

Same with MGS2 but if he says a leak is fake then it's fake.
