It's no big deal in fighting games... like KOF 2k2, they already speak in Japanese anyway... the menus are easy to figure out.

With Japan-released fighters, there are cutscenes and winquotes in Japanese, but it's not that big of a deal. You'll get over it fairly quickly because it is the gameplay that will keep your mind off everything else.

It's true. It's not like an RPG where there's a whole bunch of text everywhere.

In KoF 2002 Dreamcast, the menus are in English. The only parts that are in Japanese are the winquotes and the saving screens. It's very easy to figure out.

My ratings, and my Dreamacst fighter collection:

US Collection:

Capcom vs. SNK: Millenium Fight 2000 - 8/10
Fatal Fury: Mark of The Wolves - 9.5/10
King of Fighters Dream Match 1999 - 9.5/10
King of Fighters '99: Evolution - 8/10
Marvel vs. Capcom - 7/10
Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes - 8/10
Power Stone - 7.5/10
Power Stone 2 - 7.5/10
Project Justice - 7.5/10
Soul Calibur - 8.5/10
Street Fighter Alpha 3 - 8.5/10
Street Fighter III: Third Strike - 9.5/10
Ultimate Fighting Championship - 8.5/10
Virtua Fighter 3tb - 7/10

My Dreamcast fighter collection greatly increased once a new Dreamcast game cost me less than $20 CAD.

Imports:

Capcom vs. SNK 2: Millionaire Fighting 2001 - 9.5/10
Dead or Alive 2 Limited Edition - 8/10
Fighting Vipers 2 - 7/10
Guilty Gear X - 8.5/10
King of Fighters 2002 - 9.5/10
Super Street Fighter II X: Grand Master Challenge - 9.5/10

When it came to my imports, it was a matter of finding the right place and the right time to buy. If I bought it right away (like I did for Capcom vs. SNK 2 and King of Fighters 2002), it would cost me $80 CAD. Although, if I waited long enough, or if I traded some of my other Dreamcast games, I would pay as low as $40 CAD.

i'm pretty sure about getting Alpha 3, i am just more familiar with SF.Playing them with my older brother and a couple of old neighbors on the SNES and all...and if i can i am gonna get VFTB3 too, again familiarity is the reason. But What about SF 3 Double Impact and SFT3 3rd Strike?
