The story of Darksiders II takes place alongside the story of the first game. THQ say Darksiders II will have a larger world, full weapon and armour upgrade systems, and bigger dungeons with new enemies and bosses.

I'd imagine thats why everything looks more supernatural, could be Death was trying to bring back humanity in another ream while War was sent to investigate the war (hahahaa)

I actually would have preferred a real sequel (I want to see what happens next, goddammit!), but this'll still be great.
Only problem is... how long until a true continuation happens?
Either way, can't wait to play as Death.

Cant wait for it! Unlike Prey 2 which looks nothing like the original.

Yeah, I haven't played the original Prey (outside of the demo), but it had a really cool appeal to me, with its whole Native American vibe and all. You don't see that enough in games, I think.
Watched a trailer for the second, and it had none of that. Completely removed any level of appeal it might have had for me.

Didn't the first prey developer go under and the game was in development for several years and transitioned from PC to 360?

Its a sandbox game, remember the start of Prey where the plane crashed inside the alien ship? The guy from 2 was on it and somehow got transported to another planet and became a mercenary. So the first bit takes place during Prey, the second bit takes place after.
