Ah, I usually end up with a huge handheld library because I like them (although I prefer consoles) but my Jak is a handheld woman. She's got over 100 GBA games (just GBA) across 3 regions so I get to experience pretty much every aspect of every handheld gen, so I'm alil jaded on the subject.

As it stands I'm putting money awat for NGP and getting whatever PSP games I need to get out of the way. Fun Fact, as much as I love the PSP, its actually possible to own pretty much every game I really want, whereas with DS I don't think I'll ever own all the games I'm really lusting after.

Yeah, no doubt the Go was an experiment on Sony's part. They learnt the hard way that people want physical media, not just everything going digital like that.

The average age of a gamer may be in his 30's but I don't think I've ever seen an adult with a handheld console. I think kids are the biggest market for handhelds and I can see them wanting Mario over Nathan Drake.

Unified trophy sync anyone? Yes please. Id be sold on day one if its got that. Or just its own trophies in general.
And considering this has the juice of a PS3.. I think we'll see much more integration between the PS3 and NGP in games.
Like being able to continue your game on the NGP.
Its kindof a crazy piece of harware.
I was considering a tablet like the Motorolla XOOM but now I think im just gonna wait for the NGP considering its a truely all in one device.

IMO, a handheld should never be more expensive than a console.

People will argue otherwise, but you'd find it extremely hard to convince me it's not a lesser overall experience.

Give me a big screen and speakers any day of the week.

The only time I wanted to play my old PSP was before bed (in bed), and even then I wouldn't be half as absorbed as I was in front of a big screen. I also prefer to have a controller in my hands. It gives me that feeling of being in command. And of course I don't have to tilt the damn screen when I press a button.

Indeed trophies/Achievements are one of the lamest things to happen this gen.
