But now that I have one games I wasn’t fussed about like the Rabbids game is something I might pick up cheap. I might finally go back and play Xenoblade so I can jump into the 2nd one.

Nah I was able to get it cheaper by buying everything seperatly. Got Odyssey and Mario Kart with it.

You can buy an adapter that lets you sync a PS4 controller to the Nintendo Switch

To everyone playing mario odyssey, take it slow, don't rush it.

Also the switch is an amazing console, I haven't liked so much a console since the DS with the pirate card. Just handing one controller to someone (or undock it to go to the bathroom) feel like a life hack moment.

Pretty solid lineup of games too, I have spent a lot of time in splatoon, and BotW it's still my goty (let's hope the new story DLC is worth of the game).

Xenoblade 2 doesn't really appeals much to me though.

Well I bought a Pro controller and it’s something I recommended everyone do if you own a Switch, so much more comfortable and makes controlling Mario easier.

I just beat the new Donk City level and had a huge smile on my face at the end. I won’t spoil why but anyone who’s played it will know why.

Well there really isn't much else I can say that hasn't already been said in this thread, but comparisons to Mario 64 haven't started yet. I thought I might as well be the first!

That isn't much of a comparison though. Maybe you could elaborate on why it's better.

Nintendo has trumpeted the success of Super Mario Odyssey by releasing new sales stats for its 3D platformer around the world.

In Europe, Nintendo revealed Odyssey to be the fastest-selling Mario game ever released, beating previous record holder Super Mario Galaxy 2, released for the huge install base of the Wii.

In North America, Nintendo confirmed Odyssey was also the fastest-selling Mario game there, too, beating previous record holder New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

More than 1.1m copies of the game were sold over Odyssey's first five days on sale in the US, Nintendo added, making it the fastest-selling Switch game.

On Monday, Nintendo announced two million Mario Odyssey sales worldwide over three days.

In Japan, nearly 500k copies were sold over the game's opening weekend.

This is amazing. I'll be the first to admit that I thought the Switch would be a flop but Nintendo have done amazing. The fact it's also beat every Mario game and it's on a system that's only 6 months old is some feat.

Well, Nintendo will never really flop out. I think the reason is two-fold:

1) Fun innovations (hardware/ gameplay). The Wii is the perfect example.
2) Mario and Zelda. Recycled but always fresh. Everyone loves those games...and there's only one way to play them ;)

As for myself, I think that (modern) Nintendo tends to make rather expensive toys with small game libraries. They're complementary systems that one gets in addition to an Xbox or Playstation.
