I don't know how much you like platformers but THQ's de blob is pretty awesome. I plan to get the second at some point. It's kinda like JSR meets Mario. Works really well. Only gripe is on the Wii the jumping is iffy at times. They fixed it n the second one.

I been playing some DMc4 today (skipping the story bits for now) and I gotta say Darksiders while I know takes from many series. I do some DMC vibe from it. I just feel more satisfaction killing nasties in Darksiders.


Oh and yes 6 years late. Visuals on the 360 impress me quite a bit. Yes I played both PS3/360 before but never in my own home where I could take the time to look at small details. And that's just on my SDTV. Still not sure anything will take my breath away as much as DC did in '99 playing Soul Calibur or DOA,Crazy Taxi. My mind exploded then.

The first game that sold me (and only game thats had this feature) was dead rising, all of the zombies have unique faces because MT framework generates them dynamically, it has more combination then max models on screen.

ok tangent over...

there are a few moments in Darksiders that are amazing, theres just odd points where you'll see a crazy animation or a mesh with a crazy amount of detail and its memorable.

First seeing Samael was like that, his twisted wings have a lot of detail, the griffon fight also had some really cool animations that flowed amazing well while you shot at angels and flew around the ruins, heck Ruin's apperence was just fuckin great the way he phases in and out of existence by burning up into ash or sparking up...fuck i love darksiders.

I played the demo for DR and I found it amazingly.....boring. Bad demo? It just left the bad taste that I even left the buy 2 get one free...I could have gotten DR but the demo fresh on my mind I took the free Angry Birds gummies instead.

Michael Wincott will voice Death?! That's fucking awesome. He has a great voice and always good in his roles.

Reading some old reviews and shocked when some (CGR) said the design is bland...This game has quite a few faults esp the 360 version. Design isn't one of them. Love the game and easily better than GOW in terms of gameplay and main character. Def hyped about DII. For now tho taking a break as I have my Wii back and plating PT starting tomorrow.
