Christmas NiGHTS is awesome! I still play it every Christmas just so I can hear my guilty pleasure...

I loved all the old Sega songs, Sonic Team of the late 90s/early 2000s ... ahhh good times...

and it all started with NiGHTS Into Dreams.

Is the pair matching game back as well or just the Christmas level?

For those that have it on PSN how much of Christmas Nights is in the game? All of it or just a Christmas themed level? I'm hoping the whole thing is included.

Well when you get on the main screen it has 2 blank options, and considering the Saturn and PS2 version on there completely and each have their own options I'd imagine once I unlock Christmas NiGHTS it'll be the whole thing.

Also your progress carries over, if you beat a stage in the PS2 version the next will be unlocked in the Saturn version too.

Gave it a quick whirl last night. The graphics are much tidier and the presentation is good but I'm not sure the game plays how it should. Has anyone noticed this? The analogue controls feel a bit stilted so it was a bit of a struggle to do the links that I used to be able to, although maybe it's just due to having not played it for a while?

Hopefully its just because you haven't played it for a while. Not seen any reviews mention it.

I usually wait until downloadable games are on offer but I'm so tempted to get this. Nights just has some magic spell on me that makes it feel like I'm dreaming.

Seems I'm not the only one...

This "HD remaster" of Nights contains a version of the Saturn original — complete with a mix of polygonal backgrounds and sprite-based enemies and aerial loops, and which runs in a bordered 4:3 presentation — and an HD port of the Playstation 2 version of Nights that released exclusively in Japan. The HD version is much clearer, and in widescreen, but there’s a strange jerkiness to the controls that translates to a much less graceful titular Nightmaren.

This difference isn’t obvious until you switch directly from one version to the other, but it’s there, and it’s odd, and unfortunately it makes Nights less fun as a result. Given how uneven Nights is at its most optimal, it’s especially disappointing.

What the hell is happening with this on XBLA? Is not in the new release section and when you go to A-Z and click on Nights it simply comes up error
