My favorite version of this song. JUst has an awesome synth sound. oath did a great job remixing but this to me makes it sound more like you shit is about to go down in a great way. Music fits the moment so well full of emotion.

Mentioned it in Random Thoughts, so I'll post some.
I really do feel this is some of Yuzo Koshiro's best work. Absolutely incredible. I could hear this on the local classical radio station and wouldn't give it a second thought. It would sound right at home. Excellent work.

I posted this game music a couple of times in the old topic.

It is just a really eerie tune that fits in very well with this stage of the game. What a stage it is too!
When you learn the controls of the game and are able to use them effectively this stage is just video gaming bliss.
Anyway enough rambling:

Is it just nostalgia?
I'm not sure.
But every time I hear this, it still just hits me as videogame soundtrack perfection. It doesn't get much better than this in my eyes.

I 1:10 does the Sonic Adventure "It Doesn't Matter" theme play a little bit. No doubt Sega played a reference. At least to anyone who isn't deaf

So as much as I love Nier, I do have to say that the game's worth would be seriously diminished if it didn't have the soundtrack that it has. The damn thing is amazing. The game would still be cool with different music, but the OST really adds a huge amount of punch to it. And it comes out swinging with this beautifully dark little melody here.

My fave game currently on 3DS. I know it's not the best on the system but since Gaurdian heroes is fantastic this was made by the same team and is very much a successor,may as well be a sequel. Also when I heard about it thought it was related to Princess Crown. Fun as hell game. Like the OST as well and love it when Atlus gives you one like they did with this.
