^ So they ported that from DS?

And Ren of heavens,if you still have a DC,you would be better off playing Grandia II on Dreamcast surprisingly looks better and no bugs/glitches that the PS2 port suffered.(not to mention looks awesome if you have VGA cable..I swear the VGA cable was meant for G2)

Ren if you want it for Dreamcast I can point you in the direction of a sealed copy for £17.

Duh.

Why sites do these pointless videos.
I didn't ask for comparison video and be capt obvious they would smooth out the visuals, just didn't know they ported it.
More interested in how they replaced the touch elements.

Not like they could not have done a full 3d version, was just a style choice.

Case in point

There are some tell tale signs how they replaced the touch functions, I thought you'd see that was the point of the video other than the graphics. My fault for not pointing it out, I suppose.

Picked this up for cheap yesterday. I'd been looking into it for a while, but when I tried a demo of it, it was riddled with graphical glitches, so I thought it wouldn't work properly on my system. Found a perfect fix for it, though, so it's all good now.
Very creepy game. Very Lovecraftian, actually, without having to resort to tentacled monsters. It's basically about a guy investigating his estranged father's whereabouts, and in the process get's himself stuck in a supposedly abandoned mine in Greenland. I mentioned Lovecraft because I just recently read The Call of Cthulhu for the first time, and the narrative style in this is slightly reminiscent of that (minus, so far, any mention of cults and artifacts and ancient gods).
Despite its first-person perspective, it's much more about puzzle solving than it is about combat. And the puzzles so far are excellent, some of them physics-based (kind of like Half-Life 2).
I'm having fun with it, and I'm sure it gets even creepier as it goes along.
Thus far, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good horror game that isn't Silent Hill or Resident Evil.

It's Penumbra.

Anyway, OL, you should check out The Path. Being much more than an horror game, it just has to be the most disturbing game I've ever played.

Sick, in a very smart way.

Just looked it up, and I remember seeing something for it a while back. Definitely always looked pretty intriguing, and i generally like recommendations from you. I'll try to check it out sometime (though I usually never get to try most PC games, since I never know if my crappy rig can actually run the damn things).

Picked it up for a tenner.

What a fucking game this is! I didn't know much about this game until recently. I'm about 5 hours in so far and thoroughly enjoying it. The atmosphere in this game is absolutely amazing.

I'll give you my full verdict when i've finished it.

Good series of games. Manga and Anime were meh but the games rock.
