Figured I may as well make an official topic regarding PSN games and current news can be dumped into here.

Here's the latest, some pretty big news:

EU Sony replies to cries over the lack of PSN games on the European store.

One of the rarest PlayStation 1 games ever released is going to be available...on EU PSN only! Tombi (AKA Tomba in the US). Pretty surprised to hear this. Not only that, but really sounds like the EU PSN will be getting an import store (for games only released in NTSC regions!) So excited to hear all of this news, it's really overwhelmingly good on Sony's part.

The import games are Japanese games from MonkeyPaw, nothing special like Policenauts or whatever. I've noticed a few more high profile games coming out like Abe and the Tomb Raider games. Crash 2 also comes out on Wednesday. Can't. Fucking. Wait.

We actually bought TOmba here, is fairly well known, WHY THE FUCK CAN'T WE GET TOMBA 1 and FUCKING 2. We Still don't have Xenogears or Vagrant story, and no Suikoden 2, no Chrono Cross etc. WTF

This is free money, these games are old, none of these companies are making money off them, so why not throw em on PSN like Opera Winfrey throws on makup, by the fucking bucketful.

Sorry for the mini-rant it just pisses me off that a lot of PSone games for for exorbitant amounts of money and we're seeing a ton of sequels, remakes etc and yet nothing. Why not give Chronicles/SotN as an extra incentive to buiy Lords of Shadow, why not Front Mission 3 around the release of Evolved, why not give us Suikoden 2, WHY IS THERE SO MANY BOWLING GAMES!

If I still had physical copies of these games I wouldn't mind, but back in the day my older brother had the money and bought all the good shit, so when he left the army and moved to Japan he took it all with him.

personally i don't care about anything released on psn, most retro gamers probably would rather collect them anyway and see the psn as a final solution if they cannot be found anywhere else, and the graphical updates are not that good anyway
not to mention that with all these digital releases it might make prices of original copies fall in price pissing off collectors
