6 inch touch screen on a dual analogue controller? Man this thing is going to be expensive! The controller would be £100 alone!

Kotaku NY is like 2 or 3 blocks away so I'm sure all the info will be on there as soon as it happens.

If not i'll figure something out.

Yeah but Cafe makes it sound like it'll come pre-installed with Starbucks.

I'm still wondering why they chose Wii many years later.

I think it was 'We' as in 'We play 'together'. And the ii was meant to symbol two people. Nintendo was really trying to push multiplayer. Which makes it stranger that they was so against online.

My expectations are simple for nintendos next console, that it should be taken in a new original and totally different direction than the wii, and get everyone addicted all over again, and have the competition running around like a chicken with its head cut off, trying to come up with something to battle it with.

Since everyone wants to play the steal ideas and improve on them game. I would say this is Nintendos best strategy.

I doubt it.
Nintendo arent that historically ambitious to have just launched a new system like the 3DS and then shoot themselves in the foot by launching another system so soon their after. Its not the consoles turn yet.
And if it is, then they are really mental to think people will seriously just buy a new one for HD alone. Their would have to be some major enhancements.
And like I said though before, its supposed to be the 3DS spot light right now. That's how Nintendo has always done this. They time it like this on purpose. Just like they purposefully delay and time 1st party games to be in specific financial quarters.

Nes: 1985-1991 (6 years)
Snes: 1991-1996 (5 years)
n64: 1996-2001 (5 years)
gamecube: 2001-2006 (5 years)
wii: 2006-2012 (6 years)

gameboy: 1989-1998 (10 years)
gameboy color: 1998-2001(3 years)
gameboy advance: 2001-2004 (3 years)
ds: 2004-2011 (7 years))

its time, its happened before. Also its not just an hd wii its more powerful then current gen consoles has a normal non motion controller (with two analog inputs and dpad) and a bigass touch screen in the middle of the controller, and somehow backwards compatible.

so no its not just wii hd

I'm going to guess that with this new console the Wii controller and nunchuks will be backwards compatible too. That way it will be perfectly backwards compatible with the Wii, plus they won't have to completely abandon the motion control idea by allowing motion to be an alternate method of playing new games.

the wii's price dropped at GameStop Best Buy and Target to $169.99 in North America. Yeah, I would definitely expect a detailed announcement at E3, the Wii has been on the decline in terms of sales, meaning demand is falling out and with it always being budget priced (and with how many they have sold of this damned thing), a new console is more than neccesary. With 85 millions units sold world wide, which has to be record breaking, the wii has run its course.

The next big scoop on the Nintendo console is a picture of the controller. I wonder if someone will get one.

Well if it has the same great obscure and not so obscure variety of 3rd party games like Wii does then I'm game. Not sure it will be my first next gen.
