Never bothered with One-Piece before (it always struck me as a "franchise anime", the kind that's stuffed with so much filler that it just goes on forever, like a DBZ or Bleach), but maybe this game will turn me into a fan, like the FotNS game did for me in regards to everything Hokuto.
Was looking up some gameplay on this, and it looks really damn cool. Boss fights look great. I know a lot of people here hate QTEs now, but I still like them, and they seem to be ever-present in the boss fights.
And besides that, maybe this will give some further insight into how FotNS2 will turn out. Wouldn't mind a little extra cinematic QTE fun in FotNS.
So yeah, I'll definitely get this. Looks like a damn fun time.

I ignored One Piece also for the longest time. Then I saw it and it's fucking awesome. I have the very rare game on Wii and was fun.

Nothing has as much filler as DBZ. Naruto has a whole Season of filler called "Filler Hell" and its still less filler then DBZ.

That said I started with the One Piece Manga, read up till Rogueport then Watched the anime up till Thriller Bark, then read the manga again. There was only one arc I skipped (Sorry I think the Pirate games are boring as fuck) but even the shows filler is pretty interesting since it's exposition on a character. Theres an episode about Zoro before he became a pirate and how he met Johnny and Yosuku, if you didn't know it wasn't in the manga you'd never know its technically filler.

Its also WAAAAY more brutal then you might think, Luffy gets his ass kicked, he's not Goku with his superman comebacks.

One Piece is odd as hell. It's surprisingly adult with a kids cartoon exterior. And yeah Luffy get's his ass kicked plenty. Fox Kids tried to make the show for kids by so much editing and now infamous for the downfall of 4kids.
