BBS and 358/2 Days aren't in this collection as ports because they're not PS2 games and SE can't be arsed to put extra effort into PSP-to-PS3 porting. People often look for miscellaneous explanations as to why a company does this or that. In reality, it's always a net force computed from two forces: budget and technical difficulties.

I'm afraid they have. KH2 missing from this HD collection is a very bad sign. Something is off here.

Plus, it just doesn't make sense for them to port the old PSP KHs and not to port DDD. The team from DDD is still there, everything would be far smoother than digging up the PSP code, and porting PSP games to PS3 isn't as easy as one would expect. MGS: PW showed that. It's far easier to do a port of a PS2 game. If they're going to invest resources into porting from a portable device, I think it's going to be DDD, not the PSP games. Cutscenes from 358/2 speak for themselves.

What do I play first? Star Ocean 2, or Star Ocean The Last Hope International? I guess The Last Hope is really the very begging of the series. But I played Star Ocean 1 but never got around to playing Star Ocean 2 on PSP. I will have effectively skipped all around this series if I do play the PS3 game first. I played SO3 then SO1... but my god did I love the shit out of them, especially 3, even though I got to the very end but never beat it.

What am I missing in Legend of Mana to get past the fucking town? No matter who I talke to I can't do anything

Thats gotta be one of the worst translated games out there. First you need to find a mission (like saving the girls sister) then you need to decide who should go with you, theres only 2 choices and they hate each other so if you choose one the other will refuse unless you're able to convince them. Then you need to find an item that allows you to place the dungeon.

This is kind of hard to do when you just get dialogue like "Who is that guy" instead of "Ugh not him again i hate him" or "My sister went off will you save her" instead of "My sister went missing can you go to the caves and find her"

I'm not totally sure but so far I've seen 6 SO fans beat it and they all had the same reaction.

First they liked it, then they felt it dragged on, then they started to question it and finally after having beaten it they started to hate it.

It's not something that happens all at once, its spread out over about a month or two.

well it happened to me too, I started off thinking it was great and even thought it could be my favorite in the series, but once the hype of playing a new hd star ocean wore off, I saw the game for what it was.

Like so 1-3 I go back to every so often, Jak loves 2, I love 1 and my roommate loves 3. So anytime someone decides to play one the other 2 will watch or help out, but 4 just doesn't hold up. Even removed from the series (which is hard to do because they reference the other 3 games every 10 minutes) nothing about it stands out.
