Point & Click Adventure Games.

I have become a bit addicted to playing various point & clic adventure games as of late. Particularly Fire Maples offerings of The Secrets of Grizzly Manor and also the Lost City on Android and iOS. There are a few other games like Cryptic Caverns/Cryptic Keep and also The Haunted which are doing the rounds, and i would like to hear any other suggestions for good P&C adventure games. I have an Andriod smartphone (and very soon a tablet), a PS3, Wii and a Dreamcast so any reccomendations for these devices? Even any internet flash games perhaps?

I should mention i dont like the 3rd person perspective games, or even worse, the non sensical games like Crimson Room where you just have to click random parts of the screen to all of a sudden find an item that wasnt there before. Any suggestions welcome :)

I was thinking Walking Dead, Broken Sword and Grey Matter only for you to say you don't like 3rd person. #-o

Good man. P&C Adventure games are the shit. I'll give you a short list of my recommendations (and I advise you not to be snobby about what you do n don't want to play!), but first I need to know if you have a PC or laptop. Either way though, I'm pretty sure Sam & Max Seasons 1 & 2 were released on Wii.

Yea have a pretty decent laptop dude so fire any lists you want. I just havent enjoyed pointing and clicking to make characters move to various locations, i prefer the item/lock or puzzle/solution type P&C

Ghost Trick is available on iOS. Get it. It's amazing.

EDIT: Huh, it seems like it isn't out for Android as well, after all. That sucks. Shame you don't have a DS, that system is a goldmine for point & click adventure games...
I love the genre too, btw.

Well, since PS3 is backwards compatible with PS1 games, here's some recommendations for that:

These are horror games too but definitely include the point and click mechanics and there's no real fighting, it's mainly investigations or in the latter of the two I mention here, it's basically run away from the beast and investigate the weird underground town, in both of them it's complete puzzles, navigate your way through areas and find items. That sort of thing. Both are first person, but you move your character freely.

Echo Night (US only) don't know if you could get a chipped PSX or play it on an emulator, it's up to you - http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps/197206-echo-night
Hellnight - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Konami-Hellnigh ... 771&sr=8-1

Dream Machine (Chapter 1 Free to play)
+ Very atmospheric and animated with clay puppets. It's like a stop motion movie you control. It's not finished yet, it's up to Chapter 3, but it has a very good engrossing story.

Machinarium (Few levels free to play)
+ Very Czech art style. About a robot trying to find his kidnapped girlfriend in a used, steampunk robo-world. Puzzles can be pretty hard but you can always use the hint book if you get stuck. Great soundtrack too.

Samorost (completely free)
+ Same guys who made Machinarium. Definitely worth playing.

Neverhood (Gatta buy but you can download it free somewhere)

I'm gonna have to take some of these suggestions myself. It's one of my favorite genres, yet I haven't played that many. Some really good ones I played are:

Phoenix Wright (series): DS/Wiiware/iOS
The Longest Journey: PC (though its 3rd person)
Hotel Dusk: DS
Back to the Future: PC (Also 3rd person)

One of my favorites is the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series. It was a GBA and DS game but they released it on the Wii Shop a few years back.
