Recent Gaming Purchases

Today I got a Vita w/ Gravity Rush, Uncharted & Soul Sacrifice. Also got Devil Survivor: Overclocked (3DS), all from my birthday. Played a bit of Soul Sacrifice and Devil Survivor.

Thoughts on the Vita: Amazing system, like it more overall than the 3DS already (in terms of design, anyway). It's just a better made piece of kit and more fun to mess around with. Had a lot of fun with the voice recording device.

Oh it is expensive, especially when you factor in the costs of the memory cards on top (you have to get Sony's own, can't use SD cards like with the 3DS). It's a top quality handheld though, with an extensive library of PSX and PSP games. The Vita exclusive games harken back to the PS2 era, with their middle of the road budgets (none of this triple A nonsense) and high creativity. Plus the indie games are really interesting, if you're into that sort of thing too.

It's pretty tough as well. Mine has fallen on concrete once from falling out of my bag and when I say fall I really mean fly out by accident. Landed back first thankfully and other than some very minor tiny dings it was fine.Cat knocked it off a table onto the hardwood floor. Landed back first. My theory is they have but buttered toast inside it.

Not bad. Just so far straight forward weed whacking monsters. Slowly they are getting tougher.

Had some money in my iTunes account, so I figured "why not?" and downloaded a couple games.
Dig Dig Remix and Mr Driller. Both are freakin awesome.
Granted, they're just ports. Nothing big. But the original games were great anyway, so no complaints here.
I've been wanting to try out the Mr Driller games for a while, so a 99 cent game on my phone ain't bad. Now I want to get the PS1, GBA, and DS games.
