I'm playing it right now (still about a quarter of the game completed so far), and though I'm not really fond of the JRPG elements the gameplay is no way meh (unless you have been playing it on easy or normal).

Maybe that's it, I'm just breezing it in free (i just care about the story), but as for now all the enemies were kinda bland (and some of the locations also were bland).

It'll try it on normal or hard.

Congrats Bluecast!

I've got the first edition myself, from the original Kickstarter campaign. It's easily the greatest book on Sega's history ever written and simply beautiful to look at as well.

Sega Mega Drive/Genesis Collected works. Costs about £40 or around $50.

Which game should I finish first ?

Right now I'm into Nier:Automata, Torment tides of numenera, The last Guardian and Horizon. (also P5, and some other indie games).

Everything said about Nier makes me hyped as hyperfuck, but I can't really get into it for some reason. Ihope I'll man up and finish that first.

BTW how long is Nier with all the endings ?

You mentioned before that you did try playing it on easy or something. I'll just say that you will not get what makes this game good by playing it on normal or below. This is a Platinum title after all. And it's definitely not just about enemies hitting harder on the higher difficulties I assure you. If you are really in just for the story like you said, wouldn't it be better for you to just watch the playthrough on YouTube or something? On easy mode it is pretty much the game playing itself for you, making it look almost like a walking simulator so I don't see much difference between this and watching someone else play it. At least you can skip the battles.

Anyway, as for the playtime it should be around 33 hours to see through all the endings playing on normal or easy, according to this critic's article.

I got quite a bad impression at first because I was playing with a bad calibrated pro controller, and that kinda lingered in my mind or something I guess, now I'm enjoying the game a bit more (on normal).

Also applied the patch and it runs a little bit more smoother (and at 2560x1440 resolution), turned down the AA because it had very bad pop ups.

I'll probably keep playing it.

But yeah, mostly I play games for the story, the only one I can remember not doing for the story and put quite some time on it was BotW.

Well, I finished Route A and decided I'll just watch a walkthrough of the other endings.

Looking at the B route I made a good choice for my type of character since it's very similar. Apparently the C route is a lot more different, but I just don't care about gameplay that much and just about the story.

But that music though, best of the year by far.

FUCK. I'm looking at route C and it seems fucking amazing, I wish I could have a savegame to skip the B route.

The Playstaion Truck at Hang Out Music Fest, pretty sweet. And I got to check out the new Gran Turismo and Nier Automata.

Just discovered that I was auto suscribed to ps+ (?), and bought bloodborne.

And vanquish for pc, 20 dls for bloodborne, 15 for vanquish.

I think those are good deals.

EDIT: Not really feeling the hype of these souls games combat... The controls feel floaty and a bit unresponsive, feels like throwing around a stick... I guess the ambushes and big damage make it cool in the kinda way super meatboy was about retrying and being about retrying and being salty (but I thought that that game was tight as fuck).

^ Nah dude. The combat in Bloodborne is extremely tight and responsive. The fastest and most fluid in the series. After seeing your thoughts on NieR:Automata (and now this) I just think action games aren't for you tbh, not trying to be mean at all.

And hell yeah that's a good deal for Vanquish. I bought it off Indie Gala for $17 though because they had a deal where if you spend $3 you get a free Raiden IV Overkill steam code.

Probably, I don't really have the patience to play action videogames.

I just launched up bayonetta again, I actually forgot how to play !

Doom was another game that everyone was salivating over it, and I just found it ok, but not really fun. Similar with Horizon (but that got spoiled by BotW, any game feels clunky and restrictive after playing that).

FFXV is like a toilet brush. I'm glad I have it. I'm not thrilled, and it isn't fully necessary, but it's convenient and gets the job done.
