Mighty No. 9 is an all-new Japanese side-scrolling action game that takes the best aspects of the 8- and 16-bit era classics you know and love, and transforms them with modern tech, fresh mechanics, and fan input into something fresh and amazing!

This looks interesting. It seems Inafking is making a move before Capcom. I'll throw some money at it, see where it goes. I'm not crazy about some of the art, but then theres other points where I think it looks great, gameplay sounds pretty fun.

Also worth mentioning Inti Creates (Megaman Zero 1-4, MEgaman ZX/ZX Advent, Megaman 9/10) are on board along with localization team 8-4 (Fire Emblem Awakening, Gravity Rush, Tales of the Abyss, Rogue Galaxy)

So two teams that are really good at what they do are involved.

Shenmue Dojo doesn't care about Blac...er..I mean Mega Man.

Hey if anyone has a spare 10 grand you can have Dinner with inafune. I will try and pony the 60$ to get a physical copy hopefully before the Kickstarter ends.

I'm suprised this is kind of the thing everyone wanted. Its a high quality megaman game that breaks the mold. This seriously could have just been a new series, or Megaman 11. Or a real evolution of megaman (i guess thats why he;'s no 9?)

In any case I think its hype worthy. Moreso then most of what Capcom is actually puttin out.

I wonder if Yu Suzuki could make something similar to this. But that would mean change every character design and name. So what would be your alternative name for Shenmue?

Capcom was the greatest 3rd party the industry has ever seen during the 90's and IMO no one now comes close how great they were.

I think if they made a console they would have been up there with Nintendo and SEGA back then. I long for the days when we heard this sound

Wow. Looks fucking ill. Never been interested in MegaMan in the slightest, but this... just wow. And good on him for making it happen.

We don't have anyone famous bet we only need like 1/10th what he's got, I was noticing people getting a little burned out but I think this helps rope people back into projects on there.

Developers Express Interest In The Mighty No. 9 For Nintendo 3DS The Mighty No. 9, a spiritual successor to Mega Man created by Keiji Inafune, is headed to PC, Mac and Linux, with console versions under consideration as well. However, developer Comcept are also open to a Nintendo 3DS version. When asked about the possibility of a 3DS version of The Mighty No. 9 on Twitter, a representative of the development team replied, “Are some big ifs — if we get strong enough feedback and, of course, if we can make the money work — but we wld def consider 3DS.” Then, hours later, in a public tweet Renegade Kid, the studio behind Mutant Mudds and the upcoming Treasurenauts, offered to help Comcept with developing a Nintendo 3DS version of the game. To this, The Mighty No. 9 Twitter replied, “Wow, thanks very much for reaching out — I will make sure this info gets to the team! :D” Keep in mind that this doesn’t mean that a Nintendo 3DS version of the game is going to be developed for certain, but there does seem to be interest in such a project.
