Since you asked about my opinion, I think you're relying too much on some fairly shaky promises from Nintendo. Just look like 'Metroid Prime 4', except that you can't since Nintendo didn't reveal anything about the game, only its logo. Nintendo fans criticise other publishers for making announcements too early but they readily excuse Nintendo for exactly the same behaviour. This 'Metroid Prime 4' might as well not exist for all the information you have about it.

My god, enough with the system wars crap. Learn to enjoy everything that the industry has to offer and stop wasting time with the useless vitriol.

Nintendo definitely topped my expectations. Plenty of content and a look to the future. Mario Odyssey looks fantastic, and Nintendo seems to be poised for some great success with the Switch. Continue to build 3rd party support and some online infrastructure and the Switch could be a complete rebirth for the company.

No really, all you have is a name and a logo - the worst kind of empty promise from Nintendo.

Heck, even the average Indy Kickstarter manages to reveal some concept art or even some beta gameplay before seeking attention. Nintendo hasn't bothered to do any of that, they want all the praise of 'announcing' Metroid Prime 4 without actually putting any effort in the process.

This game must be so early in development that Nintendo is probably aiming for a 2025 release date.

In unrelated news, it turns out that Monster Hunter XX won't be getting a Western release: https://twitter.com/SocksyBear/status/8 ... 6716852224

This decision by Capcom not to release the game in the West, instead focusing on Monster Hunter World, makes Nintendo's already meagre third-party support significantly weaker.

Did Shigeru Miyamoto beat your entire family to death with a range of blood-speckled Amiibo, Kintor?

Imports only ever make a small portion of potential sales that could otherwise be achieved from a full Western release. Especially since gamers can readily instead buy Monster Hunter World on non-Nintendo platforms. With so few third-party games the loss of Monster Hunter XX in the West is a noticeable absence in Nintendo's library.

You're a real dumbass.

All it says is that there's nothing to announce currently, not confirmation that it's not coming at all. The game is a port of a game that got a release in the US, so you can bet your ass it will get a Western release.

They are an odd company. They are also innovative but also conservative except when they are not and take big risks. They are far from traditional which can put people off. They invent tradition but also go against it. They have had serious success and some serious failures. They still might be the best developer for any traditional genre. There is a reason they never went Atari or SEGA. They are just crazy enough and good enough to still be around. I always liked myself but sometimes they frustrate me but as long as they make great games I will be there.

Nintendo single handedly saved the video game industry with this reveal. Sonic is pathetic compared to them.
