Konami reveals Metal Gear Survive (PS4/XB1/PC)

Should the next full, real game in the Metal Gear franchise turn out to be some really cool looking shit again, I bet people will be quick to rethink their stance on Konami. It's easy to "boycott" a company that puts out nothing but crap and/or stuff you don't care about. Let me see you boycott a Fox Engine remake of Metal Gear Solid 1, should they ever decide to make that..

I wonder if this is going to be its own, interesting thing or just those boring "Eliminate the Wandering Puppets" spread across the entirety of the game. As it stands, it looks pretty damn tacky (and little more than cashing in on the Metal Gear name), but we'll have to wait for some proper gameplay before passing judgement.

Well, Zoltan is urging everyone to avoid buying it, so I kind of want to buy it.

But honestly, no snap judgments here. It's a weird direction to go, sure. Obviously totally hackneyed. But hey, haven't seen any gameplay yet.
It ain't Kojima or Shinkawa, so it ain't really MGS in my mind. But that doesn't mean it can't be any good. Might be a grand ol' time for all we know.

Give it a try, it's fun to watch it with that in mind.

I gotta say everything about this so far looks really stupid. Even the title is a joke, "Metal Gear Survive", with a big "V", like it's part of MGS V, when it's not even called MGS..

With Yakuza they made dead souls which was a zombie spinoff. It wasn't a main series entry, but it was fun enough and a nice change of pace.

We all have to boycott buying this game because Konami mistreated Kojima by taking his name off the box of MGSV and play only games from nice company's on our consoles built by children in poor working conditions in China.

This looks truly fucking terrible. It has the vibe of a near-empty multiplayer match mixed with the worst Side Ops in The Phantom Pain - those "Wandering Puppets" missions - and they've somehow gone and made a 'full' game out of it.
