Tron Legacy

Postby Ryudo » Wed Mar 10, 2010 1:13 am

December is so far away damnit.
I know it's just a cult hit but I did really enjoy the original.
Then again I am asucker for any movie in the 80's about video games.

I really want to see this.

Yea, there's some hype over it now. I saw the trailer a couple of minutes ago. Jeff Bridges winning the Oscar might've given it a little push.

The Tron world looks like something i'd see out of a R&B music video. But that's me. I never finished the original Tron but I might get to it seeing how directly connected this sequel looks like it'll be.

make no mistake, the original was a major turning point in sfx in cinema. without tron, you would never have seen many of the classic sci fi films that you saw through the 80s, 90s and beyond...

tron legacy is something that i have awaited for a long long time. i just hope it doesnt turn out shit like other long awaited sequels / further installments...

Wish they would release the first film on Blu Ray. It's never on TV and it costs £30 for the used DVD now.

Well I was just looking on the TV listings and it's being shown on Thursday night. I'm at work so have set it to record but it hasn't been on TV here in ages.

It looks alright.

The real world in the trailer looks more interesting than the Tron world, imo. With all the dusty arcades, old computer equipment, and whatnot. Then again, I always preferred used worlds to sterile ones. Like the look for the old Star Wars trilogy, Blade Runner, ect.

This looks pretty awful, not gonna lie. The world of Tron is so bland, and the trailer loses me soon after the arcade scene. If there is going to be any awesome movie with Jeff Bridges come December, that'll be True Grit. But back to Tron; I don't get the hype. Does anyone else?

Also more interested in the old arcade.
The new look black suits is cliche to me.
The original just seems in it's own way to look better esp the now dated CGI but for some reason adds to the style in the modern age.
Still looking forward to it,more about the clu 2.0 and flynn rivaly.

I agree. The old Tron world had a uniqueness to it. Looked like a laser tag arena.
