I've been debating whether or not I should read A Song of Ice and Fire or just go ahead and watch A Game of Thrones.

Im doing both, was going to hold off reading books till they had been on tv but the wait would just be too long and of course the TV show has to cut a lot of stuff out anyways and a fair few things have needed to be changed or simply changed in some places.

Its funny because i was watching an interview with George R.R. Martin and he mentioned he gets no hate mail over all the violence but his had letters from people saying they will never read his books again due to him writing a sex scene.

Brilliant. Dare say some wont have seen it yet so all ill say is

Put most hollywood films to shame with its massive battle for a show that had a budget of around $80M for the whole season, not sure how much of that went on this?

They actually had to pretty much beg to HBO to give them extra money to do it. Before HBO said they would simply have to have it all happen off screen again with characters getting updates during the battle.
It was so well done i dont even care about the lack of chain.

Think season one had a $60M budget and 2 around $90M.

But then hey HBO have made all that back and more from dvd/BD sales of the first season alone.

Season Finale is 65 minutes long and word is we might see

Another series done

One thing i hope they dont change as much as they did this year as far as the books go. I know you cant be 100% faithful but killing certin characters who are in later seasons creates the butterfly effect and the whole way they handeld the Danny storyline could have been better.

Oh and Damn her for putting it in the no nudity clause in her new contract.
