PS One of your earlier comments made me think of the fact that the internet does have some advantages. Like if you don't find a publisher you still have the possibility to spread it to others that way. It's the same for us who are busy with music.

Forgot to mention, but i'm also glad he found success with an edgy comic. Its hard to break out with something precieved so niche even if it was prominently only in Sweden.

It goes to show that "one never knows" of course how things work out.
I mean, it's even a bit "un-Swedish" so it's surprising in a way that it got a bit more well known there. Usually the more known comics are more reserved and safe. But as the guy wrote, he got a break through some free paper distributed in some European countries. They're available at train stations etc. to have something to read during the trip. Last time I read one of those they had another comic in it that just happened to include hooters and some sex scene (not too explicit but you saw some details

). After that he got featured in a more renowned paper strange enough.

I happened to read that thing about Southpark yesterday. It's kind of sad, it reinforces existing prejudice and they never seem to get that.

I remember with the cartoons there. Several papers in Belgium printed it again and created some new ones the day after as protest against freedom of speech. There was also a wave of attacks against mosques in some European countries after that which surprised me since people usually just take things for granted here.

On the other hand, these days they're busy finishing a law there that prohibits the use of clothing that makes it impossible to identify a person. Of course there's lots of nagging again that this is specifically about burka's. Well, it does make identification impossible and already earlier, the police didn't really like it when people just walked around the street in let's say a Halloween-styled mask either

About pigs, I once read that a British bank was forced to get rid of their piggy banks inside the bank after complaints about the use of that particular animal...

If you move to another country, you have to respect their traditions and customs. Shoving shit down other people's throats will eventually make them fed up.

And people getting fed up usually ends up being pretty bad. You guys could probably cite some historical examples.
