And i doubt Barca/the spanish press went on about it before the game like the UK press did.

No they simply came over here and made UTD look like a sunday pub team.

What i find funny is when Italian teams did stuff like this they were lambasted for their style of play, but when it's an English team sticking the entire team in the box it's 'bravery', 'courage', 'determination', 'grit'

Abramovich is obviously happy with the CL win, however, once he reflects on it he won't be too chuffed with the way his team won it, it's well known he wants Chelsea to play free-flowing football (which is why he's been so hell bent on getting Guardiola) and be admired the world over, right now i doubt Chelsea are admired anywhere but England.

Not really, most people in england see them as playing dull football. They have had spells over the years that saw them playing great attacking football but yeah against Barca/BM they pretty much camped the bus.

But yeah the press will go on about this like Chelsea just held strong against a 2,000 man army.

I meant more in the context of last night, although i am reading more and more people going against Chelsea now for the way they won it, the majority still seem to be heaping praise on them though simply because it's an english team.

I do feel sorry for Spurs, a team that played brilliant attacking football throughout the season and got the CL spot...only for it to be undone by a boring, un-imaginative, un-adventurous lucky as hell Chelsea side.

As i said, Chelsea earned the right last season and won it this. But they did not earn the right to play in next years. If anything both should have to qualify for the group stages even if its against one another.

Pretty sure winning the WC and Euros does not = automatic spot in the next one?

And so it begins, reports saying both Bale and Modric will consider their future over the summer

I like both as players but i will say Bale was rather poor on the whole last season nd Modric went missing for the last few months but im sick of players at all clubs not giving a shit about the contract they signed.

Hope Levy puts them in their place a lot sooner this time as the start to the season costs us pretty badly aswell as the last month or 2.
