Southern food is different from anywheres else I find. Even in Canada we don't get most Southern foods.
That, my friend is country gravy. Blue is right. IF made properly its tasty as hell. If not, its a flavorless mush. Safe bet is on brown gravy.paperghost wrote:Oh, I got one. When I went to West Virginia and was promised "biscuits and gravy" as a regional dish to try out. Rather stupidly, I assumed "gravy" would be something along the lines of our brown stuff.

There's some more for you yanks.
We call a cookie a cookie a Scone a scone a bisquit a bisquit a sausage a sausage and a hotdog a hot dog.
Wiener is not used unless on purpose a amusing way for a joke or a food chain uses it to be funny and sell the product.

I thought all types of biscuits are called cookies? For example, we have rich tea and digestive biscuits. Don't americans just call them all cookies?
I've never heard of them over there.
Speaking of which, americans don't even know what a sausage roll is for christ sake.
Don't you call sweets - candy?
