And no one has enough courage to tell the truth and start over. Instead, we are daily told people in debt ought to bail out other people in debt, and so on until a big circle of hopeless debt is formed, and a certain Asian empire crushes the poor productionless west. Soviet Union 2.0. Hurray.

Are people ignorant? Or does the news and the anti-democracy (i.e. The Nothing from The Neverending Story, apparently) make blithering simpletons of us all?

P.S. Anyone up for starting a sanity zone in Antarctica?

Fret not. It is warm. It is a temperate peninsula situated beneath an ice bubble formed by an active underwater volcano that extends several miles into the mainland. The light looks strange because the sun only shines through the translucent ice above. Naturally, being below the Antarctic Circle, there is one day of light and one day of darkness once a year. There is no precipitation. Sometimes in the summer, it seems like it rains, but that is only the inner ice melting. Yet, there is enough good soil to rotate crops and the geothermally heated lake in the center is large enough to provide year-round irrigation for the surrounding fields. There are only a few small forests and little ore; mostly grass and rocks. Still, we can import whatever else we'll need by submarine:
