Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec wrote it and Jonathan Liebesman to direct.

Paramount felt the original script by John Fusco was a little too edgy.

Have you two even read Turtles comics? Eastman & Laird set the majority of the series there. Hell, there's even an issue where Casey Jones is at some alien bar moping to his alien friends about his relationship issues with April. For the whole fucking issue. I don't reckon Bay had anything to do with that, it'd be down to the creators.

But yeah, I kinda feel the same as Ryudo. Basically, Eastman & Laird created something great, but they're shit writers/artists. The best thing that ever happened to the Turtles was when they were taken away from their talentless claws. The films were enjoyable and the TMNT series was good. Until they went all space-y n shit.

Best thing you can do with the Turtles now is keep em in New York, occasionally sendin em to Japan, and re-hash old villains/create new ones. Nobody wants to see Utroms and Triceratons, they want four wise-cracking ninja mutants saving the day and get a bollocking off Splinter for disobeying orders. And Shredder. Sparingly. Like the Joker.

Haha no, I have not read the comics. I only watched the the original cartoon, the 3 movies, the bad live action show with Venus and the first 3 or so seasons of the more recent TMNT (aka the 2001 one)

TMNT 2012 is the best TMNT in a long while. Imagine the 80's series but actually well written
