I think that article is just making an assumption. Even if he is, at least he's getting some sort o cash for it. I don't think his view on life wants to be , "Well, it's raining, its effing cold, and i sleep under a highway... but damn are these shoes comfy!"

That story is probably true, yeah.

It's the "mob rule" ones where pretty much anyone with any sort of grievance against an organisation could make up a story (think the last one I saw was someone slagging off Sainsbury's 'cos they asked a disabled person to leave) and 'cos it's a taboo/touchy subject, loads of people unable to stop and think for a sec end up clicking "Like". Whereas in reality, said person was probably thrown out of Sainsbury's for being a scummy shoplifter, so decided to get them back by making up an "offensive" story. I simply can not believe a company like Sainsbury's would throw a disabled person out of one of their shops!
You can actually glimpse a pretty scary side of the nature of most humans when they become a braying mob over stuff like this too.

Never been a problem for me though, as I've always been too cool to be part of the "mob", "movement", chain-message-sender etc.. ;-)

How did I end up complaining about shit in a "Things that made you happy" topic anyway!?
What made me happy today was, getting a half day at work, being off tomorrow and all next week. Started Xmas shopping as well, though still got about ten things to buy. :-(

The word that I might finally get a vacation. Nearly a year without one and dealt with Hurricane Sandy, working in insurance  . It's still a bitch and I'm so burned out. After the holidays I'm hopping on a plane at JFK and will soon after be on a non-crowded beach in the tropics. :P

They where the first really, to show the true colours of capitalism to America in a game. California I think was where Lorraine lanning was from which I heard a while back was quite a patriotic area and for it to have the kind of sinical
in fact might I say "Deep" humor that you would expect to find in outer London or Manchester is fantastic. Lorraine
has the mind of a true artist and is one of my hero's in life.

Well.... I don't know about the patriotic part. California really is known in America itself for being non-conformist.

But its a very varied state. Different areas have different feels.

Like the San Francisco area is what I would call the non-conformist area. They are known for having a lot of homosexual people living there and tend to be more open to new ideas, it is one of the first areas to introduce new ideas a lot of times. On the other hand San Diego is known as a hub for the U.S Naval fleet. Los Angeles is known for its great mix of races and of course Hollywood.

Its just funny to hear a foreigner like yourself saying that. I'm not saying you are wrong, but those things you just said really are not the general consensus here in America itself.

It would be much more of a big deal for those ideas to come out of Texas or someplace. California is known for breaking the rules of moral standing that have been around for such long times.

In fact I am not surprised to hear the write is from Cali at all. It makes perfect sense. And just the fact that it is like the 2nd or 3rd most populated state it is common for famous people to be from there anyway. You know odds wise.
