Fucking ridiculous. I don't pretend to be some kind of particularly fight-capable badass or anything, but nothing would have stopped me from pulling that psycho off and planting a fist in his face.
Seeing people just stand by like that while someone obviously incapable of helping himself is being attacked... that's just sad.
You'd like to think that people are willing to stand up for eachother when it really becomes necessary, but a video like that just makes that idea seem a little too optimistic. The worst people in that video are the ones that just backed up and let it happen.
I do agree with that. It's a weird social psychological thing. Basically, people would help but they sometimes assume other people with more initiative would go out and do the deed for them. But as a consequence, everyone in the room is thinking the same thing.

A) There was a bunch of us helping out; or
B) If I had a long or long-ranged weapon
You see a guy munchin on someone's face and you don't know what the fuck's goin on. I don't want the cunt bitin me and infectin me with AIDS or some shit. Give me a baseball bat and two or three other people, I'd do summat, but if I'm stood in an enclosed space, no guarantee of back-up, and nothing to use as a weapon, I'm gettin the fuck outta there.
If it's someone you know, it's a different thing, obviously, but I probably wouldn't get involved if I was there. Especially bein surrounded by Chinese. I've seen plenty of news articles about terrible things happening over there as they just walk by and ignore it. Babies dying in the street, hit n run victims, and now this.

That gif wasn't proving your point. It's a well-known fact that human life is greatly devalued in China, but country has nothing to do with what happened in that particular video. My opinion can be invalid to you. It doesn't change anything. Oh, and don't use the world "generalization" in any form because you're guilty of the worst generalizations our there.
