Shenmue Dojo

Hey everyone! I'm an old timer to this site from back in '03. I've been coming here almost weekly ever since. I used to talk on forums back in the day but I've forgotten my user name since I haven't logged in for years. It's great to be back on here. My passion for Shenmue has been completely reinvigorated after a recent play through of the games and it makes me happy to see there is still a passionate community.

I'm working on a cool Shenmue project right now that should be done in a couple weeks. I'd like to share it with everyone on here and maybe even give a couple away. Working on creating the "ultimate" Shenmue Dreamcast experience and packaging. Anyways, can't wait to show it to you guys and see what you think.

I found it on a now-inactive gaming forum I used to help manage. Looking through locked and trashed threads, saw it, and figured I'd check this place out since it looks cool.

Oh... Late introduction. I registered to this forum back in 2013, being recommended by a fan in the IGN forum. Shenmue opened my eyes to a new world of possibilities for videogames at the time. My jaw literally dropped looking at the graphics and scope of the game when I played Shenmue back in the end of 1999, as a friend just brought it right from Japan. I finished Shenmue 1 at that time but since then, I lost interest in the series as I learned Ryo's journey would never reach a conclusion with the second game and other games/ life pulled my attention from the series.
My interest piqued again when I decided to revisit the series in 2013, after all those long years just for the sake of nostalgia. And boy, the series made me fall in love with it once again. I actually appreciate the graphics and game mechanics more now than ever, specially playing it in "high definition". I'm very surprised the game still manages to amaze me today in all of it technical aspects, even after seeing the industry grow so much since then.
So yeah, just my two cents on it, and thank you for having me!
