I think the trilogy is overrated. All three films are indeed competent and compelling, but I don't think they're nothing out of the ordinary.
I also don't think much about other trilogies like the aforementioned Star Wars or The Lord of the Rings for that matter. As for the Indiana Jones trilogy, I have a soft spot for it.

Planning on watch the first today, since I've been hankering for some BTTF.

But i'm one of those who didn't like the third one. It was slower paced comparatively plus I didn't find the Western setting as compelling as the Futuristic or 1950s setting.

I never noticied before but I saw the name of my barbers on a neon sign in the first film. I lol'd.
