Good luck if you plan on living in Japan. It's not that easy but is a great experience.
Things to remember :
- Stand on the left side of the escalator (walking is actually the right side, in Tokyo atleast)
- Avoir shaking hands (unless you're good friends with that person, but that's my opinion)
- Don’t stick your chopsticks up in your rice
- Do not ride the 女性専用車両 (Women-only passenger car) on scheduled time. You're a foreigner they will probably forgive you but I'd avoid doing it
- Keep in mind that Japanese people can say something and are thinking the exact opposite thing. That's what we call "Honne and tatemae". It's a bit more complex than that so I'd suggest that you to read this :

Good to know David, thanks!!!
I'll definitely be seeing you in Tokyo!

Anyway good luck. Must be awesome to live there.
I know the feeling. I am only able to go because of work.

Well I'm in Kyushu so not easy for us to meet up right away but flights to Tokyo for me are only around $100 so ill come up sometime and we can go to dobuita or something.
Actually in the 4 years I've lived in Japan, I still have never been. Yama is going to come out here aswell sometime and we talked about doing that. Maybe we could make a thing out of it.
Also if you'd like to come down to Fukuoka sometime id love to show you around and hang out.
Good luck with the transfer.
Yes! It would be an honor to finally meet you Axm! Drinks are on me

I live 10 minutes from it
I've only been once though.
I used to think Japan was OMFG AWESOME, but after years and years, the gloss wears off.
Still, it's easy to find jobs, and I make more than my college friends who stayed back home. Easy to get girls as well, you don't even need to do anything, you're guaranteed that a hot girl will make a pass at you sooner rather than later.
Overall it's an ok place to live.
Thanks! Let's meet up at the arcade sometime!
Three Blades wrote:So... out of curiosity, if I may ask, what's your job?
My position is Chief Security Officer. However, I am a Linux Systems Network Engineer and White-Hat Hacker
I am very well versed in networking and protocol exploiting. Hence why I love doing Shenmue mods
