Shenmue sampled in a hip hop song

Ok I am a big hip hop fan and I was looking through ughh.com at new albums and stumbled across an artist called Granite State, had a listen to some songs and it just so happens there is a Shenmue loop on one of the tracks. I don't remember the name of the actual piece (especially as my copy of Shenmue OST is in Japanese credits) but it made me remember this site which I have viewed a lot over the years but only just joined.

Kind of an old topic but I hadn't seen it before, so I'll say this now:

That song is a fucking disgusting piece of shit.
Taking such a beautiful piece of music like the Shenmue theme and throwing a lazy beat against it with some douchebag rapping over it totally RAPES the beauty of it.
It's fucking awful.

I'm really torn on whether I should love this or hate this. I guess they're trying to make a song with a positive message about how you should be real to yourself, which is cool, but... the music is such an epic, beautiful piece that it just seems like the song should be about something a little more than that.

But I guess it can't be that bad if it scored them $.99 from my pocket.
