Reviving the pointlessness of the injury... I see his leg going down. I do not dispute that. I'm just saying that he kicks the beam before it pins his leg to the ground. If you listen very closely you will hear the beam hitting the ground only once, after Gui kicks it.

Gui Zhang's leg was injured, end of discussion.

I actually can't believe I got sucked into this argument as much as I did, I am genuinely suprised at myself.

I don't think we need to debate the purpose of the original debate. It offers nothing more than the original debate to begin with. But look at me, i'm debating the debate of the original debate. So my debate of the debate about the original debate serves no purpose as well. Which brings me to this question- anyone have some asprin?

The girder is a set prop and made from foam.
Just a blooper.

Or just a game with bad hit detection in a scene.

No no no Ryudo. It was Gui Zhang's HEF (human energy field) that deflected the beam, not this fantasy mumbo-jumbo sciency-gobbledegook you call 'hit detection'. You sound silly. However, in the process his HEF was severely injured and he had to see the mountain sheep spirit of New Jersey so he could floss his toes with a lock of lamb-wool.

Oh Ryudo, must you add more fuel to this already blisteringly hot bonfire?

1 : Beam falls

2 : Gui Zhang pushes Ryo, then falls

3 : Beam hits ground, topples, falling on Gui Zhang's leg

4 : Gui Zhang kicks beam before it pins his leg, putting pressure on his knee joint

5 : Gui Zhang injured

6 : ????

7 : PROFIT
