The poll is over. Shenmue won and is now officially entitled "1. ultimativ bestes Spiels aller Zeiten"



It wasn't the close battle that I'd hoped for and Shenmue maintained it's usual early lead like in the last few polls but who cares. WE MADE IT GUYS! The strong support for our beloved game finally got Shenmue a title!
Let's celebrate this glorious moment!

When Maniac publishes the final result of the poll this definately something that belongs on the front page of the Dojo and needs to be spread as far as we can.

Amazing news - we definitely need to take advantage of this rare opportunity and bring it to the attention of SEGA.

Doh! Outstanding effort by the community regardless. I wasn't expecting Shenmue to beat Mario by search a huge margin..

Has this been spread yet? It's gotten pretty quiet after Shenmue won. It really should be featured on the Dojo's front page.

It has been tweeted to Sega and no doubt will some more on October 3rd. The first thing people learn about Sega's Twitter team though (if not the company as a whole) is that they are deaf, dumb and blind when it comes to Shenmue. They do their utmost to not give a flying fig. The most important thing, then, is to spread the news amongst other gamers. The Tweetathon will help with that but it's something we can all do at any time by posting about it on forums outside this one.

Sega prolly thinks "oh boy its those shenmue 500k guys at it again"

The poll is back. Ever since Shenmue's win in 2013, the victory has been hotly debated on the website of the magazine. The magazine recently held a new poll about the best Zelda game of all time and now lets the community vote whether that Zelda game is better than Shenmue. So it is time to support Shenmue again. Wow I didn't think they'd ever bring this back up. I was hoping for a similar contest at some point but seeing them actually do this is a pleaseant surprise.

Well this was easily forgotten. Two weeks already, even though it only ran 24 hours.
Maniac hasn't published anything about the outcome though. So for anyone who's curious about this, Shenmue won with a somewhat close result. Closer than many of the battles in the last poll anyway.

The 2013 poll they were trying to avenge was a closer result.
