There's this auction on Ebay for a sealed Shenmue(USA) (He has 4 copies available)
I'm wondering if they're reseals.
He says they came from an unopened box and that seems suspicous.

Can anyone confirm if their sealed copies look like the pics in the auction? (Link below)

Only saw this because of the the recent bump. Looks like its referring to the Dr Orangjuicer guy. Most of if not all NA copies of Shenmue were poorly shrink wrapped like that. It was one of the releases we didn't get y-fold sealing on. Grandia 2, Alone in the Dark and a few others were like that as well.

Seam placement with DC games isn't consistent like they are with SONY jewel cases. The flat side (no seam) can be on bottom, top or side. Shenmue usually had no seam on either left or right. Grandia 2 typically had its no seam on bottom. A long time friend is a sealed collector so I know more than I would like to about the subject lol.

With that said, I think the ship has long since sailed for anyone wanting to buy sealed games like that in 2017. Especially if it costs you more than $50. Technology is cheap af and shrink wrap/y-fold machines are easily obtainable now. They weren't 15 years ago. Anything you buy sealed that doesn't have a security strip like SONY/Microsoft is 100% unverifiable. No one can tell you for sure. But as long as you're happy with your purchase that's all that matters :)

Picked up the Shenmue the Movie Theatre Pamphlet / Book recently! First i've seen of this, it's a very nice (however rather small) 16 page book. Took some photos of each page since it's only a small book :) -

By pure chance, while travelling I found this Shenmue 2 Demo disc for sale on a gaming store among other things, and bought it on the spot.

What is in it can be seen here:

I can never get one of those F4F. I would gladly take a Ryo amiibo if that were to ever happen. :P
