Been working on the dragon all night and im pretty tired for now. Here is as far as i have gotten. This is not finished, and i will be doing more work on it tomorrow.

Had a meeting with 3 different tattoo artists this morning and each of them said the same things. This would not make a good tatto because its practically made up of lots of dots and that neither of them would put their name to it. The best advice i got was to scour the internet to find out other designs (which i dont want) so it looks as though this isnt happening.

its a circular design, but i was looking something long and thin for down the underside of my left forearm. I might just have to consider a generic dragon design

Sorry I'm slightly confused, why won't they do it? Will it just not come out well?

its more or less made up of small dots and wouldnt look good as a tattoo. Plus as you get older the skin naturally expands so over a couple of years the dots would start coming together

Peter, you can work out the design to your advantage, talk with a talented tattoo, he can do something about the 'scales' of the dragon that will make it a good, long lasting tattoo. Dragon tattoos are some of the most popular/tryed and tested tattoos in the world. It may not end up exactly like you have it in your mind but trust me: it can be done.

I know this thread was from long ago.. but due to your creation, I'll be getting it as a tattoo within the next two weeks. I'd like to thank you and will post a picture of it once it's done!! This is the only high definition image of Lan Di's tattoo on the Internet!
