I'm sorry but that's a lame reason not to have him in the game again and yes the main appeal to the first for me was Ryo so i wont be getting this right away.

Lundi from Panzer Dragoon Zwei would be perfect for this game considering that Lagi already transforms in that game. Also would like to see Alis from Phantasy Star, Shou/Tillis from Burning Rangers, or even a Chao from Sonic (I love these guys )


Also... really hoping Billy Hatcher returns.

It's a shame that Ryo won't be in the game but Sega has such a great cast of mascots/characters that I can't be too upset that he's missing, but I will be a little upset

That's what I thought. Ryo was in the first one, but there wasn't a Shenmue-themed level, was there?

I thought all the original characters from the first were included, and they were explaining the lack of a Shenmue-themed level again.

Yea, but thats the point. There was no Shenmue level in the original game, but Ryo was. This time however, they are saying that the franchise was omitted from this game, which was in the first game

confirms no Shenmue related stuff at all simply because they didn't want to do a docks level cause it seems Shenmue 1 and II are set 100% at a dock.

This is very disappointing. Everybody I know, including myself, who got the first game, did so only because Ryo was in it. Still, I love the franchise. It's just really unfortunate that Sega doesn't grasp how much people want to buy what only they have.
